This is exactly what Edith Hicks meant when she told us years ago:

“Train trainers, to train trainers.” ❤️

Edith was one of the very first people God brought into our lives when this ministry journey began. She was around 88 years old at the time, full of wisdom, deeply in love with Jesus, and passionately devoted to missions and discipleship. She poured so much encouragement, truth, and guidance into us in those early years, and one lesson she constantly emphasized was the importance of raising up leaders who would then go and raise up even more leaders.

These photos are the beautiful fruit of that vision.

Bertha and Brighton are faithfully leading Good News Clubs and sharing the Gospel with hundreds of children — teaching Bible stories, pouring truth into young hearts, and pointing them to the ONE true living God. 🙌🇿🇲

From David & Goliath… to Elijah and the prophets of Baal… these lessons are powerful reminders that our God is ALIVE, He hears us, He loves us, and He alone is worthy of our trust.

One of the sweetest parts of ministry is watching local leaders rise up and confidently lead others. That has always been the heart behind this mission.

We may have helped train and encourage them along the way, but they have also taught us so much through their faithfulness, culture, joy, and love for their communities.

To see hundreds of children gathered under a tent, hearing the Gospel and learning about Jesus from leaders within their own community… there truly are no words for how special that is.

This is why we go.
This is why we pour in.
This is why discipleship matters.

And we know Edith would be smiling so big seeing these moments unfold.

Sometimes the simplest requests carry the most powerful impact.

At a recent ladies Bible study, one woman—Vickness—asked if she could have a Bible. Others had received one the year before, but she hadn’t been there at the time.

When she was finally given her own Bible, her joy said it all. To say she was overjoyed is truly an understatement.

This is why it matters.
Access to God’s Word changes lives.

Thank you to each of you who faithfully give, pray, and donate Bibles. Because of you, women like Vickness are able to hold truth in their hands, grow in their faith, and walk more closely with the Lord.

Please continue to pray for Vickness and the women in this study—that God’s Word would take deep root and continue to transform hearts.

Today America pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives while serving in the United States Military. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend or a celebration — it is a day of remembrance, gratitude, and reflection. Across America, families visit cemeteries, place flags on graves, gather together, and take time to remember the sacrifice that gave us the freedoms we enjoy every day.

And even while serving abroad in Zambia, Africa, we continue to reflect on the importance of this day. Living overseas gives us an even deeper appreciation for the blessings of freedom, faith, family, and the men and women who laid down their lives in service to others.

Today, from both America and Zambia, we remember the fallen, pray for their families, and thank God for the freedoms we often take for granted. ❤️

UPDATE ON THE HOSPITAL SPEAKER PROJECT ❤️🎤📖

ALL of the hospital reading speaker systems have officially been purchased!! 🙌🎉

We are beyond grateful for every person who prayed, shared, donated, and purchased speakers to help make this ministry opportunity possible.

Karen’s Ladies Bible Study has offered to go into the hospitals and read Scripture to patients, and our mission teams traveling to Zambia are also willing to go into the hospital wards to pray, encourage, and read the Word of God to those who are sick.

God provided willing hearts to serve…

🚨UPDATE: we have 12 more that need purchased‼️

“Could someone come weekly to read the Bible to our patients? They are asking for that service.”

That was the request recently given to us by a hospital administrator in Livingstone, Zambia.

Now we have the opportunity to help make that possible.

These portable speaker/microphone kits will allow Scripture, prayer, encouragement, and the Gospel message to be clearly heard throughout hospital wards filled with patients, families, and medical staff.

There is nothing more powerful than seeing a child say “yes” to Jesus.

Recently at Good News Club, these precious children boldly shared their faith—understanding sin, believing that Jesus died for them, and choosing to live for Him. What a beautiful and eternal decision.

Moments like this are why we go.
Moments like this are why it matters.

Seeds are being planted. Lives are being changed. Eternity is being impacted.

Please continue to pray for these children—that their faith would grow deep roots and that they would walk closely with the Lord all their days.

God is moving in Zambia, and we are so grateful to be part of what He is doing.

🌍 Walk by Faith — A Mission to the Ends of the Earth

Missions has always required faith.

Not because the path is easy —
But because obedience matters more than comfort.

2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us,
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Walking by faith means trusting God when resources stretch.
It means going when the destination feels far.
It means believing that the Gospel is worth carrying to the ends of the earth.

In Zambia, that faith looks like:

• Traveling to remote villages
• Training pastors
• Investing in children
• Building churches
• Strengthening communities

The mission continues — not because we see every outcome, but because we trust the One who sends.

🚲 Helping Pastors Reach More People

In many parts of Zambia, pastors walk miles to reach the communities they serve.

Villages are often far apart. Roads can be difficult. Transportation is limited.

Providing bicycles and motorcycles allows pastors to:

• Travel more efficiently
• Visit multiple villages in a day
• Respond to urgent needs
• Strengthen and disciple believers consistently

🌌 The Heavens Declare

Some nights in Zambia, the sky is breathtaking.

Stars stretch endlessly across the horizon.
A bonfire glows in the distance.
The air feels still — almost reverent.

Moments like this remind us of Psalm 19:1:

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.”

Under a sky like this, you cannot help but reflect on the greatness of our Creator.

The same God who set every star in place
Is the God who calls us to serve.
The God who sustains ministry.
The God who moves in hearts across Zambia.

In the quiet of the night, surrounded by creation, worship feels effortless.

We are grateful to witness both the beauty of Zambia and the majesty of the One who made it.
