Arkansas Chapter of the American Choral Director's Association proudly recognizes the 2026 Trailblazer Award recipients—educators whose leadership, service, and passion have strengthened choral music across our state.

Gretchen Watt Trailblazer Award — Andrey Wright, Camden Fairview High School

Mat Whitworth Trailblazer Award — Alan K Showalter, Southwest Junior High School

Carrie Taylor Trailblazer Award — Elaine Bohannon Harris, Retired, Sylvan Hills High School

Named in honor of three legendary Arkansas choral educators, these awards celebrate individuals who continue to inspire students, mentor colleagues, and advance excellence in choral music.
