We were pleased to welcome a potential new member to our meeting this past Tuesday,.
Rosalyn. Walker is from the Twin Groves area and visited our club a few years ago. We love the Optimist camaraderie we share! And we have fun getting the business done! In case you are wondering about the pink, we all support Breast Cancer Awareness! Even considered going radical by painting Optimist men fingernails PINK!

Mr. Rob Denning
Not only does Optimist Rob make time and have energy to fulfill his duties as Assistant Treasurer in the Conway Morning Optimist Club and perform other duties as needed, he also serves in vital capacity with Arkansas Lions.
Currently Mr. Denning serves as Lion:
- a Board Member of the Arkansas Lion’s Eye Bank and Foundation
- 2nd Vice District Governor (District Governor in 2027)
- Council and District G.E.T. (Helping set up new chapters across Arkansas
- Membership Chair for the Conway Evening Lion’s Club.
We fellow Optimists salute Rob for keeping his boots on the ground and grinding hard in his service to youth, family, community and others!

CMOC affirms the well intentioned efforts of individuals and groups doing their part to raise the bar on breast cancer awareness, treatment and cure. For children adversely affected by breast cancer diagnosis of people they know, we commit to helping to lessen the pain to the extent possible. Thanks to Judge Jim Baker for reminding us of the great ministry, many talents and brilliant minds of FCA Christian Athletes! As a longstanding leader of this Christian Fellowship, Judge Baker assured CMOC that our
ongoing support of their Association would be a wise Youth investment. And it is with great appreciation and respect that we made a financial contribution to FCA Christian Athletes. We encourage communitywide support of their "All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast" October 12th. Looking forward to having an FCA Guest Speaker at our CMOC Tuesday morning breakfast meeting real soon!!

Optimists' support of each other extends to the last mile of the way and beyond! As was apparent when Tenn Ark District's Lt. Governor, Zone 2 Marcia Wright traveled out of town to support fellow Optimist Glenn Poole in the transitioning of his beloved wife. CMOC extends
our deepest condolences to the Poole family.

A few more sneak peeks into Conway Morning Optimist Club's weekly Tuesday morning breakfast meeting with Guest Speaker Quincy McKinney! When asked, Attorney McKinney stated he would very carefully consider cases involving mental health issues if elected to the bench in 2026.

Attorney Quincy Walter McKinney, Circuit Judge candidate, was our Guest Speaker this morning.
He was invited by Optimist C. H. Turner. Mr. McKinney emphasized the importance of having a good solid home upbringing and a spiritually based pattern for successful parenting and marriage! He left attendees with a life changing word for the day, "DISCERNMENT." His father accompanied him and shared a few experiences
of raising his son and spoke to the importance of investing in youth and of recognizing even the smallest of their achievements. Members of the McKinney family attended CMOC's Spaghetti Dinner/ Silent Auction and our breakfast meeting last week with Paten Oxner as a teen speaker with astronomical agricultural expertise! Next step - membership? 😀
