As families gather to celebrate Independence Day, more than 70 local families will be able to enjoy a simple July 4th picnic meal thanks to the generosity of Thrivent and a Thrivent Action Team donation.

Because of this support, Nourishment for the Needy was able to provide hot dogs, mustard, ketchup, and baked beans—helping families enjoy a special holiday meal together.

We are incredibly grateful to Thrivent and the Thrivent Action Team program for investing in our community and making moments like these possible. Your generosity reminds us that even a simple meal can bring joy, dignity, and togetherness.

Right now, the Nourishment for the Needy pantry shelves need help, and we’re challenging neighborhoods, churches, businesses, schools, and community groups to join us in restocking essential meal items for local families.

While school is out, many local families lose access to meals their children normally receive during the school year. That’s where our community can make a difference.

Every week, Nourishment for the Needy helps provide groceries and essential items to families throughout our community. But as summer demand increases, so does the need for support.
