📊 YOUR LABS TELL A STORY

Have you ever looked at your lab results and wondered:

❓ What does my eGFR really mean?

❓ Should I be worried about my creatinine?

❓ Why are my potassium or phosphorus numbers changing?

❓ Are my kidneys getting better, worse, or staying the same?

You’re not alone.

One of the most common questions I hear from people living with kidney disease is:

“I have my lab results, but I don’t know what they mean.”

That’s exactly why we created the Kidney Wellness Hub Support Group.

Each week, we come together to:

✅ Learn how to understand kidney-related lab results

✅ Ask questions in a supportive environment

✅ Share experiences and practical tips

✅ Encourage one another on the kidney journey

✅ Gain confidence when talking with healthcare providers

As a two-time kidney transplant recipient and certified Kidney Health Coach, I’ve learned that understanding your numbers can help you become a stronger advocate for your health.

💚 You don’t have to figure this out alone.

📋 3 Questions About Your Labs

Have you ever received your lab results and thought, “What does all of this actually mean?”

Understanding your numbers is one of the most important steps you can take in managing kidney disease.

At your next appointment, ask these 3 questions:

✅ Which lab numbers should I pay the most attention to right now?

✅ Are my numbers getting better, worse, or staying the same?

✅ What can I do this month to improve or protect my numbers?

Remember: Trends matter more than a single number. One lab result is a snapshot. The real story is told over time.

As a two-time kidney transplant recipient, I’ve learned that asking questions and understanding your labs can help you become a more informed and confident patient.

💬 Which lab value do you find the most confusing?

eGFR?
Creatinine?
Potassium?
Phosphorus?
A1C?

I’m proud to share something I’ve been working on through Kidney Wellness Hub.

The CKD Support — We Understand collection was created to represent the kidney community — patients, caregivers, families, and advocates who know that this journey can be challenging, personal, and sometimes lonely.

The message is simple: you are not alone, and there are people who understand.

If you’d like to take a look at the collection, visit CKDSupport.com and select Shop.

Thank you for supporting the mission and helping us spread awareness.

CKD Support — We Understand

This collection was created for kidney warriors, caregivers, families, and advocates who understand that living with kidney disease is about more than numbers and appointments.

Sometimes support means being informed. Sometimes it means being encouraged. And sometimes it simply means knowing that someone else understands the journey.

The CKD Support — We Understand Collection is now available through Kidney Wellness Hub.

T-shirts, hoodies, hats, mugs, totes, and stickers are available now.

💚 THE EMOTIONAL SIDE OF KIDNEY DISEASE

Kidney disease doesn’t just affect your body.

It can affect your thoughts, your emotions, your relationships, and the way you look at the future.

Many people living with kidney disease experience:

😟 Fear
“What if my kidneys get worse?”

😰 Anxiety
“What will happen next?”

😞 Frustration
“Why is this happening to me?”

🤔 Uncertainty
“I don’t know what the future holds.”

If you’ve felt any of these emotions, please know this:

You are not weak.

You are not failing.

And you are certainly not alone.

One of the most powerful things we can do is talk about what we’re experiencing with people who truly understand.

That’s why the Kidney Wellness Hub Support Group exists.

💚 A safe place to share.

💚 A place to ask questions.

💚 A place to listen and be heard.

💚 A place to find encouragement and hope.

As a two-time kidney transplant recipient, I’ve experienced many of these emotions myself. I’ve learned that while kidney disease can be challenging, carrying the burden alone makes it even harder.

You don’t have to walk this journey by yourself.

🥗 WHAT FOODS SHOULD I EAT WITH KIDNEY DISEASE?

If you’ve ever felt confused about what to eat, you’re not alone.

One person says avoid bananas.

Another says eat more fruits.

One website says limit protein.

Another says eat more protein.

And then there’s sodium, potassium, phosphorus, fluids, labels, portions, and meal planning.

It’s enough to make anyone frustrated.

The truth is that kidney nutrition isn’t always one-size-fits-all.

What works for one person may not be right for another depending on:

✅ Your stage of kidney disease

✅ Your lab results

✅ Whether you’re on dialysis

✅ Other health conditions such as diabetes

That’s why it’s so important to get information from trusted sources and learn how to apply it to your own situation.

At the Kidney Wellness Hub Support Group, we regularly discuss:

🥗 Food choices

🥗 Grocery shopping

🥗 Potassium and phosphorus

🥗 Reading food labels

🥗 Real-world meal ideas

🥗 Questions people are afraid to ask

You don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.

📅 Join us every Monday at 7:00 PM CST on Zoom.

💚 Ask questions.

💚 Share experiences.

💚 Learn together.

💚 Make better choices with confidence.
