End 68 Hours of Hunger- Concord South

End 68 Hours of Hunger- Concord South End 68 Hours of Hunger is a private, nonprofit organization that provides food to children in need. Food is essential to learning and growing.

Food instability is a serious issue that many students in Concord face. There are children who spend the 68 hours between Friday afternoon and Monday morning with little to eat. The education students at Concord Regional Technical Center and NHTI are implementing an End 68 Hours of Hunger program to help feed students at Abbot-Downing School and Rundlett Middle School in Concord, NH. How it works-

We provide a child with a backpack full of food, equalling at least 3,000 calories, on Friday afternoon. The child brings the empty backpack to school each week so that it can be refilled and redistributed on Fridays. How you can help- We are in need of donations of food and funds. We also need ideas for business sponsorships so that we can help as many children as possible. Suggested items for kid friendly, non-perishable food donations- individually packaged canned fruit or applesauce, granola bars, canned pasta meals, canned soup or stew, boxed mac and cheese, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned chicken or tuna, canned beans, canned vegetables, pop tarts, individual boxes of raisins, individually packaged pretzels or crackers, individually packaged nuts
