Join the Carolina Reef Foundation for a hands-on coral rescue mission at the Charleston Tug Artificial Reef, located approximately 62 feet below the surface.

📅 Saturday, September 26, 2026
⏰ 7:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
📍 Charleston Tug Artificial Reef

Our volunteer divers will:

🪸 Rescue broken coral from the ocean floor
🪸 Add new structures to CRF’s coral nursery
🪸 Help protect and rebuild the natural reefs of the Carolinas

Cost:

Coastal Scuba charter: $110
CRF coral rescue donation: $50
Rental equipment, if needed, is additional

How to reserve your seat:

Book directly with Coastal Scuba and tell them you are diving with the Carolina Reef Foundation.
Call 843-361-3323 or book at www.coastalscuba.com.
After booking, message CRF through www.carolinareeffoundation.org so we can add you to the volunteer team.

Join CRF at Little River Patriots Day! 🌊

The Carolina Reef Foundation is proud to participate in the 2nd Annual Little River Patriots Day—a special community event honoring our military heroes, veterans, first responders and all who have sacrificed for our country.

Stop by the CRF booth to learn about our Patriots Reef Project—an underwater memorial designed to honor America’s heroes while creating new marine habitat and lasting environmental benefits off the Carolina coast.

The festival will also feature live music, a boat flotilla, food vendors, arts and crafts, Touch-a-Truck displays and activities for the entire family.

🌊 What a great day on the water! 🤿🪸

Flat seas, great visibility, and an incredible team of Coral Rescue Diver volunteers!

Today we rescued piles of broken coral—representing hundreds of years of growth—and expanded our coral nursery to give these corals a second chance.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers and to Coastal Scuba for being such an amazing partner in protecting Carolina’s reefs! 💙

We had a great day saving coral. Incredible vis and a great charter with Coastal Scuba. Our Coral Rescue Divers did a fantastic job finding coral to rescue and placing in our coral nursery
