Awesome story!

At 16, Reginald Dwayne Betts was sentenced to prison for carjacking. Most people saw a teenager who had thrown his future away, but inside a prison cell, books helped him imagine a life beyond those walls.

Those same books would eventually help transform him into an award-winning poet, a lawyer, and one of the most powerful voices in criminal justice reform today. His story is a powerful reminder that sometimes, one book can change everything.

Hello Friends,

We’re looking forward to our next Friends of the Library meeting on Monday, June 8th at 12:00 PM, held at the Colusa Free Public Library in the Morse Conference Room.

We have an exciting agenda this month, including preparations for our Concerts in the Park fundraiser, updates on upcoming library programs and events, and opportunities for volunteer involvement. Your ideas, feedback, and participation are always appreciated, and we hope you can join us as we continue supporting our library and the services it provides to our community.
