A big thank you to Hudson's At Main Street for another awesome meal at our July Shelf-Care Society Book Club Meeting! And a big thank you to everyone that came!

Between new faces, great book chats about are recent and current reads, and some fun Russian food - it was a blast.

We love our meet ups and hearing all about what you’re reading, what you’ve added to your (never-ending) TBR, what you’ve loved lately, what you’ve loathed or DNF’d - all of it! And don’t forget, while we always want to hang out and talk books, we know it can be hard to attend things. Have YOU been personally victimized by reading a Russian novel only to find that 237 of the characters have frustratingly similar names? If so, do we have the night for you!

Join us tonight for our Shelf-Care Society Book Club Meeting at the amazing Hudson's At Main Street! While they always have the best food on deck, tonight they’re putting on a Russian themed foodie night. Which means we’ll have a choice between our breakfast/brunch faves and some Russian delicacies.

We can’t wait to see you for some wonderful food, great convo, and some much needed reading time! Maybe it’s the perfect night to crack open that Dostoevsky doorstopper you’ve been meaning to read for awhile! Whatever you’re reading (and however many Ivan’s, Ivanov’s, Ivanovich’s there happen to be in it) we want to hear about it!

Another awesome meeting of the Shelf Care Book Society in the books! We may have arrived a bit soggy but we chatted all things books, shared some of our favorite recent reads, commiserated on our not so fave reads, and added some new books to our TBRs!

Here’s a look at what we’re reading:

📚An Elderly Lady Must Not be Crossed by Helene Tursten
📚The Book of Elsewhere by China Mieville and Keanu Reeves
📚Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens
📚Z, a Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald by Therese Anne Fowler

Some honorable mentions from the group on recent reads that they’ve loved:

📚House of Leaves by Mark. Z. Danielewski (It may drive you mad to read it but it’s worth the madness!)
📚Ms. Mebel Goes Back to the Chopping Block by Jesse Q. Sutanto (a quick read but a five star review from Mindy Ortego)
📚The Secret Book Society by Madeline Martin (historical fiction with a twist and character development that will keep you hooked)
