Motherful Columbus, a collective of nearly 2,000 single mothers, has recently purchased a four-building property in Gahanna to create the region's first co-op living community for single moms. Up to 10 families will share childcare, transportation, and meals offering significant cost savings and social support to each family. 💛

Founded by 13 visionary women, the Columbus Metropolitan Club hosted its first forum 50 years ago TODAY and has provided people from all walks of life access to civic leaders and dialogues on community issues ever since.

As the Columbus Metropolitan Club looks ahead to its next 50 years of impact, we're recognizing the organization as a HumanKindness Prize honoree, with a $25,000 grant to support meaningful dialogue, stronger relationships, and a vibrant civic life. 💛

At Gigi's every detail is designed with care to help shelter dogs feel safe and ready for adoption: the wall color, the lighting, even the music playing in each dog suite. Gigi's has supported over 20,000 dogs since 2018, giving them veterinary care, behavioral support, and a real chance at a family. 🐾 Now, a new grant program is putting 24 transport vans in the hands of shelters across Appalachia, spreading that compassion even further.

Gigi's is using a $2 million grant to provide transport vans and stress-reduction training to more shelters.

🍪📖 The first-ever Columbus Cookbook Challenge has an ambitious goal: bring the community together to bake every single recipe in one cookie cookbook!

Columbus bakers will each claim one of the book's 100 recipes, then gather to share their creations, swap stories, and sample dozens of cookies. No judges, no trophies, just a room full of cookie-lovers and a shared goal: COMMUNITY!
