Yesterday, we celebrated the groundbreaking of Star House South Side, opening in early 2027.

It was also a meaningful moment to reflect on 20 years of partnering with youth as they transform their lives and to honor the community of champions who make this work possible.

We’re so grateful to everyone who filled the room and continues to stand with us as we expand our impact and build for the future. More photos to come!

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we’re kicking it off with Bill and Ric, two of our most dedicated volunteers.

They spend time at our drop-in center twice a week, helping youth access essentials. Beyond that, they’ve made hands-on improvements to our space, from painting and fixing the kitchen sink to repairing a washing machine and building shelves. They’re also familiar faces at our fall tailgates.

Together, in the last year alone, Bill and Ric have contributed more than 400 hours of service.

Before coming to our drop-in center, youth experiencing homelessness report difficulty accessing medical care.

Through partnerships with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Mount Carmel, Columbus Public Health and others, youth can access on-site care in our medical exam room or receive support reaching appointments in the community. As a result, 80.1% of youth who visited our drop-in center for 90 days or more in 2025 received medical care.
