Its been a few weeks since our stair climb. As we reflect on our Inaugural Columbus GA 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, I can’t help but think back not only on the power of this year’s event but also on the weeks that followed September 11, 2001. In those days, our nation stood together—neighbors, strangers, first responders, and communities united in grief, resolve, and courage. That same spirit was alive here as we climbed 110 flights in honor of the 343 fallen firefighters, and all who lost their lives that day.

This event would not have been possible without the incredible support of our volunteers, participants, and sponsors who gave their time, energy, and resources to make it a success. The climb was more than steps—it was a living tribute, a reminder, and a promise to never forget. 📅 Mark your calendars for next year!! Saturday, September 12th, 2026

A note from our Coordinator......
Sitting the morning after… Because after 110 flights to honor the 343 fallen heroes, that’s all I’m doing today (lol). I’m sitting here reflecting on yesterday’s climb, feeling nothing but gratitude for an unforgettable day.

First, thank you to my amazing wife and kids, as well as our incredible coordinator Tristan Nuziard, his wife, and their kids. You all went above and beyond. There are many people to thank but without my family this would not have been easy!

To my bosses, Dr. Michael Haniotis & Dr. Jay Brodwyn —thank you for giving me the time and support to bring this event to life.

To the Columbus Civic Center and staff—thank you for giving us the perfect venue.

To Chief Sandavol and every single member of the Columbus Fire Department and beyond who had a hand in making this event a success—your dedication humbles me.

I didn’t even know this gym before this event, but they found us, showed up big, raised the most money, and pushed themselves to new levels. They even circled back for a 4th lap to support a teammate. Daryl, your team’s spirit is what this climb is all about—honoring the 343, pushing your limits, and lifting each other up. You’ve already promised to be back stronger next year, and I believe it!

We are truly humbled by the overwhelming support for the Inaugural Columbus, Georgia 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. This event is to honor the 343 fallen heroes became a powerful community movement—because of ALL OF YOU.

From our incredible sponsors and volunteers to every climber and supporter, your dedication and generosity made this event a success beyond what we imagined.

We’ll be sharing individual thank-yous in the coming days, but for now, please know how deeply grateful we are for every ounce of effort, every donation, every cheer, and every prayer that made this climb possible.

Together, we not only remembered the fallen, but we showed the strength and unity of this community.

✨ Final Prep for the Stair Climb ✨

Tonight, our Stair Climb Committee completed final preparations and began setting up for this powerful event. We are honored to bring the community together for the Inaugural Columbus GA 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.

📅 Event Date: Saturday, September 6th
⏰ Check-In: Begins at 7:30 AM
🎤 Opening Ceremony: 8:46 AM

This Saturday, we climb to honor the 343 fallen heroes of September 11th 2001. Every step is a tribute, every name remembered. 🇺🇸

There is still time to register and join us on the stairs, or you can donate in honor of those who gave everything—even if you can’t climb. Together, we will ensure their sacrifice is never forgotten.

🔥 Early Swag Bag Pickup = Huge Success! 🔥

Last night’s early swag bag pickup at Pour Decisions was an amazing evening! Over half of the bags were picked up, and our team was honored to meet so many of the climbers who will be joining us to honor the 343 fallen heroes. 🙌 The food was incredible, and the fellowship was even better!

👕 Side note: Our brand-new shirts are in! They look amazing, but some have reported a little color bleed, so be sure to wash them separately the first time.
