Last week we packed up shoes for the Shoe Drive Fundraiser! There’s currently 46 bags with 25 pairs per bag! Wow! You all have been so generous to donate your gently used and new shoes.

Sneak peek….our last big donation day will be Saturday, October 31st! We are doing a drive through drop off in the morning-early afternoon at a location in Newark.

☕️☕️We will be sampling Hemisphere Coffee at the shoe drop off. If you remember, last year, we did a fundraiser with Hemisphere Coffee and it was a big success. This fundraiser will happen during the month of November. You will have your coffee early December for Christmas gifts, holiday gatherings, or just to enjoy all to yourself. 😊

So gather up all your shoes that you want to donate and put them in your trunk for the drop off on Saturday, October 31. More details will follow.

Shoe drive drop off locations!

Don’t forget your shoes tomorrow, Sept. 27th!! Living Hope Church of Pataskala has bins in the lobby to collect the gently worn/new shoes for our shoe drive fundraiser. Thank you!

There are 3 different ways to help us collect the shoes.
1. You can gather up shoes and take them to one of our many drop off locations.
2. You can host a collection box at your church, business, small group, etc.
3. You can collect bags of 25 pairs of shoes from friends, family, etc. Send us a message or comment on the post, and someone from Esther's Place will arrange a pickup or drop off.

DONATION LOCATIONS

Overmyer Jewelry in Johnstown, Church of the Ascension in Johnstown, Christ Evangelical Luthran Church in Heath, TrueCore Deo Drive in Newark (ask for Ashton’s office), Lulu’s Coffee Hebron, and the Lookup Center are all currently accepting donations.

Please look up the hours that businesses are open. For churches, stop by when they are having services. I will post more information about dates if needed. All of these places and participating as a court courtesy to Esther’s Place of Grace. If you cannot gain entry into any location just message me and I can make personal arrangements for you with my staff.

I would like to take this opportunity to share with you that Esther’s Place of Grace has moved to our new home and we are working at making it a cozy home for our future residents. This home is much larger than our last two homes, which opens up many more possibilities for ministry. It also shows us we need a lot more help!
We are asking if you would commit to volunteering with us going forward. We are asking for a commitment of at least 2 hours a month. There are many different areas where we can use your help. If you want to know more about what those are, please ask!

If you think this is something you would like to do, please respond on this post with how and when you would like to help and I will work with getting you set up. There is a mandatory training video series with worksheets for those interested in working directly with our residents and babies. If you are not interested or the timing is not right, it’s okay.

We do have a very easy way you can jump right in and help now, please see the attached information about this exciting shoe fundraiser. We would be collecting gently worn and new shoes for people in impoverished countries. We need you to ask places where you shop, worship, eat out, work, & local businesses, etc. if they can place a box to collect shoes anytime between September 1 to October 31.
It would be great to have a couple people to work with us to make this happen more efficiently. Please respond to this post or email Carmen at [email protected].

SHOE DRIVE DONATION LOCATION

A donation site is Overmyer Jewelers at 24 S. Main Street, Johnstown, OH 43031. They are open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 12pm-5pm and Saturday from 11am-4pm.

Come by those days/hours to drop off your gently used and new shoes. This fundraiser is benefiting Esther’s Place Of Grace.
