Wild Strides - Promoting American Mustangs

Our sweet golden girl ☀️

10/12/2026

We’ve traveled to events and loved every second of it, but for now, we’re going to be staying home.

It’s time to open our doors and invite you to meet our horses right where they’re most comfortable — at home!

We have an amazing group of horses right now who would love to say hello. Whether you’re looking to plan a homeschool field trip, bring a small group out for a unique experience, or you’re a photographer looking for a different kind of backdrop, we’d love to have you visit!

No group is too small. For now, please reach out through Messenger to schedule a visit. We’re also hoping to announce a few open house dates soon so more of you can come meet the mustangs!

We can’t wait to share a little more of their world with you. 🐴❤️

The horse park is a 30 minute drive from us, any youth riders in need of a horse to enter please reach out to us so we can discuss options!

We’ve been doing so much that we forgot our own 2 year anniversary 😅
It’s been a journey since starting Wild Strides!

We’re continuing to learn and adapt as we go and wanted to mention that in 2027 we will be changing the way we bring horses in. From now on we will be working along side adopters from day 1 to select their horses. Choosing to adopt a mustang is a huge commitment, we’ll help take a lot of the guess work out of it! From selecting the right horse to arranging hauling, we’ll be here to assist.
Your horse will remain with us for a minimum of 90 days, during that time we will work on haltering, leading, hoof handling and for some we can begin to cover advanced groundwork and saddle prep.

If you’re thinking of adopting next year now is the time to start planning! Adoption events will be announced for 2027 soon.
Anyone interested can send us a message or email

Looking for a new lady in your life?
We have so many options, what are you waiting for?? In case you need a reminder here’s who’s available currently!

Kona 🌺 2019 chestnut mare 14.2 hands. Kona is available for onsite lease only at this time. We may explore other options in the coming months but for right now we would love to find someone who would like to join us in Columbus,NJ to ride Kona twice a week. Kona is still green but is a very good girl. She needs a confident rider who can continue her training. She rides well at a walk and trot and is getting the hang of cantering. Showing is an option!

Otter 🦦 2022 bay mare 14 hands. Otter is a sweet young lady who has a lot of potential ahead of her! She’s easy to catch, has had her first trim and got an A+ from the farrier. She’s worn a saddle and is beginning to learn more advanced ground work. Looking for a companion? She get along with everyone and doesn’t fight for rank. Looking for a future riding partner? We can see her doing well as a trail horse or a future sport pony.

Poppy 🌹 2012 palomino mare 13.1 hands. Poppy is available to a mustang experienced home who is looking for either a companion horse or willing to continue her training using +R methods. She would absolutely adapt to other training methods but after spending 12 years in the wild being a momma and surviving on her own we think she deserves to live a life she loves. And what she loves is to work at liberty!

Look who just got a fresh pedicure and her glamour shots done 😍

Otter is a 4 year old mare who currently stands at 14 hands. Shes already grown since arriving here in May and might have another inch or two to go.
Otter is turned out with mares and geldings and is lower on the pecking order and respects electric fencing.

She’s solid in leading and has been used in lessons doing groundwork with beginner handlers. She’ll lift all 4 feet and stands tied. She’s overall a pretty easy going little girl who has been a quick learner.
We have put a surcingle on her a few times and she wore an English saddle once so far without any protest.

Otter does require a BLM adoption transfer, we can help you fill out the application! She is available to approved adopters for 1️⃣🍎🍎🍎

📣 We will waive Otter’s adoption fee for anyone who wishes to send her directly to saddle school with
Sobolewski Horsemanship at Divergent Stables, LLC
Get a pretty little mare that’s got a good start in riding for the cost of 90 days of training.

This offer is only available while Paulina has openings so don’t wait!

Echo it’s too early for your shenanigans.
And I love how Laredo puts himself away when he escapes it’s the second time I’ve found him randomly in an open stall 😆
