Welcome back returning students and our newest class of Buckeyes! While this semester will exist on a different type of campus environment, we still plan to be very active this semester!

Hello everyone! I am excited to announce the Human Rights Campaign in Columbus has offered to conduct an info session for us next Thursday, July 23rd at 8:30 PM via Zoom. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about how we can get involved locally in LGBTQ issues and initiatives, especially in a socially distanced environment. Short heads up for everyone! Tomorrow NGPA is holding a webinar for university chapter members.

During this virtual discussion we will have leaders from NGPA that represent different backgrounds of aviation and our organization, and we will be highlighting what you can see from the NGPA mentor program.

A quick update for all of our student members. We will no longer hold activities on campus, as the University moves all instruction online and mandates all student organizations no longer meet for the remainder of the semester. This also includes local chapter events with Arch City aviators as well.

As the semester closes we will re-evaluate the situation and tentatively schedule some summer activities in May.

For students remaining in Columbus for flight labs, please feel free to reach out if you’re in need of any additional resources.

Thank you all for your patience. This is an unprecedented time for our industry.

A quick update on some events going on this month with our and various other aviation student organizations!

Not listed below is our next NGPA Student Meeting, which will be Monday Feb 24th at 6PM in Bolz 116.

Make sure to save the following dates, especially if you have registered for and are going on the CASSA KLCK Tour.

CASSA is also working on setting up a movie night out at the airport. So stay tuned for more details on that.

For anyone interested in getting involved with Alpha Eta Rho - Omicron Sigma Upsilon this semester, the last day to rush the fraternity is noted below.

This weekend our NGPA student chapter attended the annual Winter Warm Up and Career Expo Presented by United Airlines in Palm Springs California!! What a transformative couple days it was. We also met up with our fellow members from NGPA Ohio - Arch City Aviators, NGPA - Kent State, and of course some OSU Aviation alumni!!

Additionally, we had the privilege of celebrating NGPAs 30th anniversary and witnessed the power house that is Jan Anderson and David Pettet transfer the reins of leadership onto our new President Gambino and Vice President Troy A. Merritt. We are so humbled and proud to be an active part of this amazing organization. Thank you David and Jan for everything you've done to further the worldwide LGBTQ aviation community!

One last thank you to all of our amazing partners and to The Ohio State University Center for Aviation Studies.

We also got lucky enough to fly on the amazing Boeing 787 on our way back! :) Until next year!
