On Laylat al-Isra wal Mi’raj, we’re reminded that even in the deepest moments of grief and exhaustion, Allah grants elevation, mercy, and reassurance.

This night came to the Prophet ﷺ after immense loss and hardship, and its message feels especially close as our communities carry fear, uncertainty, and pain today.

Tonight is a night for du‘a. For families living in fear. For those targeted and displaced. For courage, steadfastness, and justice. 🤲🏽

📅 Join us Saturday, January 17 at 12 PM at Mott Branch Library in Toledo to take action by building whistle kits and learning how to use them.

ℹ️ Whistle kits are simple, low-tech tools neighbors use to alert one another when ICE or federal agents are nearby.

Join us for a Community Defense Build Day to assemble whistle kits and learn how communities use them to alert each other when ICE or federal agents are nearby.

You can drop in at any time during the afternoon to help build kits, learn how they’re used, or plug into community defense efforts.

We invite attendees to support immigrant- and refugee-owned restaurants and businesses by bringing prepared food. Please label all items clearly and note which dishes are halal.
