The Kollel Community Read and Celebration Kicks Off this Month with studying the words of Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks. See details below

"As we finally begin to edge past a difficult period of physical separation and societal bonds strained by a taxing political climate, we have the opportunity to set a new course for ourselves and our communities. Moving forward, we have the chance to dedicate ourselves to building unity, and we can begin now by joining together in a meaningful community project.

For our entire history, Jewish learning -- and the Torah in particular -- has enabled our people to remain united over the ages. The Torah has served as a guide to help us navigate every kind of situation and maintain a firm commitment to leading lives of learning, growing, and helping others. Now the Columbus Community Kollel and other local organizations, invites you to join us for a Jewish Learning Community Read.
Partners Columbus (a project of the Columbus Community Kollel) will provide all Community Read participants with a complimentary copy of "Morality: Restoring the Common Good in Divided Times" by the late Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks. Rabbi Sacks z”l, the former Chief Rabbi of the UK and a leading contemporary Jewish thinker, was also a renowned champion of Jewish unity and his works are studied by Jews of virtually all persuasions.

To participate in the Community Read and receive your copy of Morality, please contact the Kollel directly at (512) 758-2144. Also look forward to various opportunities to connect and discuss your reactions to Morality. This May, all participants will be invited to join a siyum, a celebration of this initiative (more details on the celebration will be forthcoming). Books do not need to be completed before the celebration; it’s all about your individual learning and our communal bonding.

Let’s recommit ourselves to our treasured Jewish values and to strengthening the ties of the Columbus community!"

Click on the link below to insist that absentee ballot requests be available online in Ohio.
Democracy works when we make it easier, not harder, for eligible voters to vote. During this Covid crisis, mail-in ballots are the answer. This is not, and should never be, a partisan issue.
Fill out this petition - it will take you 2 minutes!

Ohio's primary was messy, chaotic, and confusing -- with nearly 200,000 absentee ballots uncounted and historically low turn-out. [1] A repeat of that in November would be even more dangerous. Our state legislators need to act urgently to make sure that all Ohioans can vote safely and securely. We'v...
