Every future physician needs more than an education. They need exposure, encouragement, and opportunities to learn from those who have walked the path before them.

Dr. Kimberly Jackson recently had the opportunity to mentor a medical student from Morehouse School of Medicine, continuing her commitment to helping prepare and inspire the next generation of physicians.

At Physicians Working Together, we believe mentorship matters. Representation matters. And sometimes, simply having someone willing to share their knowledge and experience can make a lasting difference in someone’s journey.

We love seeing women in medicine continue to grow, lead, and step into new opportunities. Congratulations to Dr. Rowe, a Physicians Working Together member, on speaking at Brilliance26 and celebrating the release of her new book, BOSS DOCTOR. We’re proud to support and celebrate our sister in medicine as she continues making her mark in healthcare and beyond.

There is more to this journey than the runway.

For more than 20 years, I have built my life around medicine, leadership, service, mentorship, and helping others believe in what is possible for them. Somewhere along the way, I realized I needed to keep believing in what is possible for me, too!

Modeling has become a beautiful reminder that there is no expiration date on becoming more of who you are. You can build a career, raise a family, serve your community, lead with purpose, and still make room for a dream that surprises you.

And for me, this dream connects back to something even bigger. Every new opportunity gives me another platform to support the work I care deeply about, including Physicians Working Together and our commitment to strengthening the future of medicine. But right now, this part of the journey comes down to one thing:

I must finish FIRST in my group to advance to the Semifinals!

I have been fortunate to hold first place throughout much of this competition, but right now I am in third place, which means I need my village! 🙏🏽💙

Dreams don’t expire, but this round does! 😆

I’m currently in 5th place, and I have to finish #1 in my group by August 28th to continue in the Next Runway Star competition.
