Free Georgia Pre-K4 seats are currently available at seven Muscogee County School District elementary schools. Apply Today!

Pre-K provides a wonderful opportunity for children to build early literacy and math skills, develop social-emotional skills, and gain the confidence needed for a successful transition to kindergarten.

Open spots are available now on a first-come, first-served basis according to the application submission date. To secure a spot, please complete the online Pre-K application and online registration process.

What a life. What a gift. What a woman. 💕

Today, we mourn Dolly Parton- a woman who gave us songs that we’ll never stop singing, and a reason to believe that even the smallest gift can make a big difference.

Raised in the hills of East Tennessee, Dolly knew what it meant to grow up without much. Her father never had the chance to learn to read, and she never forgot the power a book could hold.

So, she gave them away.

What began as a simple idea became the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, putting millions of books into the hands of children around the world.

Just like her songs, that gift will live on.

While the world lost a little bit of its sparkle today, we intend to help carry her vision forward here at home. A donation to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library helps put books into the hands of local children- continuing the kind of gift Dolly believed could change a life.

Global icon and humanitarian, Dolly Parton, known to the world as a beloved singer, songwriter, philanthropist, actress, playwright, and author died peacefully today in Nashville, Tennessee. She was 80 years old.

Dolly is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Carl Thomas Dean (1942 – 2025), her mother Avie Lee Caroline Owens (1923 – 2003), and father, Robert Lee Parton, Sr. (1921 – 2000).

A rhinestone life that shone bright enough for the world to see, Dolly will forever stand as an inspiration not only through her timeless music and prolific songwriting, but also her wit, warmth, and kindness that made us all feel like family. Dolly Parton’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and resilience. With a seven-decade career, she inspired multiple generations of artists and fans with her music and an unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Her songs will continue to resonate with people of all ages, and her philanthropic work will have a lasting impact.
