Shout out to !!! Today marks the fourth anniversary of his enlistment into the Army National Guard. In four short years he has completed basic training and AIT, been promoted to Specialist, worked full time as a recruiting assistant, promoted to Corporal, worked active duty for the OHARNG marketing team, promoted to Sergeant, and is now working to help new recruits process for enlistment at the Military Entrance and Processing Station. I can’t wait to celebrate his future accomplishments and I’m always proud to be his recruiter.

Huge shoutout to team!!! Last we they came to Camp Sherman Joint Training Center to participate in our Leadership Camp. They participated in workouts, spoke to General Moore and Colonel Foster about leadership, tested their leadership on the Leader Reaction Course, and much more… Great turnout and I cannot say enough about the players and coaches of this team. I look forward to all of your successes this year and I will see you all back in school soon.

Help me congratulate this young man for making the commitment to join the Ohio Army National Guard this week. PVT Sikhakhane was born in the US and moved to South Africa to complete his bachelors degree. It was a pleasure to help him navigate the process from start to finish. I am certain that his life experiences, education, and calm demeanor will take him very far in this organization. Any organization would be proud to have him but I am proud to now call him a soldier and an Army National Guardsman.

I’d like to ask you all to help me congratulate PVT Mutebekiti for becoming one of the Ohio Army National Guard’s newest soldiers. PVT Mutebekiti enlisted to be an Infantryman while he attends college. He chose this position because he wants to challenge himself mentally and physically, while serving his community and country in a challenging career. By pursuing this route he will have 100% of his tuition paid and $407 a month just to attend college. It was a pleasure working with Darlington and his family through this process and I cannot wait to see the amazing things this young man will do with this opportunity.
