Hilliard Elite Youth Football

10/11/2026

A huge congratulations to the entire OPYFL on a great regular season! Watching teams from across Central Ohio compete has been fun to watch and be a part of. It’s been great seeing the competition, community support, and excitement surrounding youth football this season.

Thank you to the Hilliard Optimist Club tackle football for hosting some games this season! It was great seeing the Hilliard community come together on Sundays, competing against one another and filling the sidelines.

That said, we are disappointed that after joining our league this season, Hilliard Optimist made the decision to withdraw both age groups from the playoffs/postseason. We were glad to help Optimist join the league, especially to give their 3rd/4th-grade athletes the opportunity to have a football season and compete. Unfortunately, this decision shortens our playoff schedule by one game, meaning the No. 1 seeds will no longer receive a bye and will take the field tomorrow, Sunday, 10/11/26, at the GCKA Sports Facility! While we are disappointed, we will adjust, move forward, and finish the season strong. We look forward to competing against premier competition and making a strong run to the Championship!

After the season, our focus shifts to 2027. We plan to expand teams and open additional registrations following the playoffs, so watch for sign-up details. Based on the interest we are seeing, having multiple teams at each age group next season is the plan.

Thank you to every parent, coach, and player who has contributed to this season. Regardless of the challenges, our commitment remains the same: Work. Develop. Compete. Let’s finish strong!

🚨🚨1/2nd grade announcement🚨🚨

Good morning Hilliard Elite families,

We wanted to provide an update regarding our 1st/2nd grade team for the 2026 season.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Coach Haywood is unable to dedicate his time this season. We want to thank Coach Haywood for everything he has done for the program, wish him the very best, and hope to have him back with our 1st/2nd grade team next season.

With that being said, we are excited to announce that Nick Koshiol will be stepping into the Head Coach role for the 1st/2nd grade age group for the 2026 season. After many conversations with Coach Nick, we truly believe he will be a great fit for the Hilliard Elite family and bring tremendous energy, experience, and leadership to the program.

We are still hoping to add 5–6 more players to the roster, and we have no doubt we will get there. Please continue sharing the program with any families who may be interested. We will be in contact by the end of May.

Please see below for a message and background from Coach Nick:

“My name is Nick Koshiol. I played football at Mentor High School and played in two state championship games, including one against Hilliard Davidson. I then played linebacker at Notre Dame College in South Euclid.

For the past six years, I have coached football camps and 1-on-1 training sessions at Bo Jackson’s. I was also the 1st and 2nd grade coach for Optimist Football last season, where our team made it to the championship game.

I’m excited for the opportunity to work with these athletes and be part of the Hilliard Elite family.”

🚨🚨Cheer Announcement🚨🚨

Hilliard Elite is thrilled to welcome our new cheer coach, Tina Brown!

Tina brings over 15 years of experience as both a cheerleader and a coach, and we’re excited for the energy and expertise she will bring to our program.

Fees: $250 per Cheerleader, includes cheer uniform, accessories, and Dance Camp!

Message from Coach Tina:

“Hilliard Elite Cheerleading is more than recreational cheer, it’s an elite program for athletes ready to challenge themselves, grow their skills, and be part of a team that strives for excellence. Success requires focus, commitment, and consistency.

Attendance is mandatory for all cheerleaders. Every practice is essential for skill development, team chemistry, and overall squad success. This includes our mandatory four-day summer dance camp. We expect all athletes to be present, on time, and fully prepared for every session.

During the summer, practices will be held 2–3 times per week, depending on the team’s progress and skill development. Once school begins, practices will be every Wednesday from 4:30–6:00 PM. Athletes should come ready to learn, improve, and support their teammates.

This program is about accountability, teamwork, and personal growth. We’re looking for athletes who are ready to commit, work hard, and be part of something special.”

Registration link will be posted this evening. Contact Coach Tina with any questions @gmail.com.
