Our holiday project -- wrapping gifts for the community clients of Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare -- always ends with a late lunch at Spaghetti Warehouse. We wrapped nearly 100 packages Saturday and enjoyed a delicious lunch. We were a small group this year -- just Patti Mettle, Sally Weimer, and Aynn Titchenal

Enjoyed our quarterly volunteering, November 16, at Joseph's Coat with fellow Pilots from the Pilot Club of Columbus. It's a wonderful cause supported by us and many other dedicated helpers. Four of our five members -- Aynn Titchenal, Sally Weimer, Shannon Hill, and Patti Mettle are shown here. The fifth member, Sean Hill, was still working with the furniture pick up team. Pilots from the Columbus Club are Teddi May, Juanita Elliott, and Deb Asakura.

November 3 - 9, 2019 is designated International Care and Kindness Week. You can celebrate big, ie. a hot buffet luncheon for all the volunteers at local food pantries. Or you can celebrate small, ie. a plate of doughnuts for the community volunteer fire fighters. Since part of our mission is to spread care and kindness, please celebrate in the way that works for your Club.

One suggestion: give each member of your Club a candy bar with your return address affixed on the back and a ribbon with the Care and Kindness Logo on the front. Members then give this to store clerks, gas station attendees, post office workers, crossing guards, etc., with the statement, "Thanks for doing a good job", "Thanks for always being so pleasant", "Thanks for always sharing your smile". Everyone appreciates a kind word.

Also, please don't forget to use the hashtag in your club's social media posts.

We rise by lifting others!

Maybe we could get involved with this group...not necessarily w/this project right now, but maybe they have ongoing needs we could help with. Might uncover some potential new members, too.

We are looking for a group to pack dog biscuits. This is a great project for kids 8 and older, or a great volunteer opportunity for you and your co-workers. For more information, please email [email protected]
