Blue Prints For Youth

Mission Statement: Breaking The Cycle. One Day At Time. One Person At A Time.

Over the past few days you have probably noticed that my Facebook has been off the
rails. This is the reality of what neglect to mental health resources, a broken home and
no direction can do to troubled teenage boys. I know because I was one of them.
As a teen I struggled with ADHD, anxiety and was between households. Both
neighborhoods that I was between were located in rough areas, one of them being the
westside where I live now.
When you grow up on the streets you go into survival mode and often times you only
have tunnel vision when it comes to the lifestyle you are supposed to live.
That is why I’ve decided to start a nonprofit to help troubled teenage boys make
smarter decisions at home, on the streets and to inspire them to make a difference in
the world.
The nonprofit is called Blueprints for Youth.
Blueprints for Youth will;
• Offer resources for teenage boys by working through government agencies
• Teach financial literacy
• Help with self-development
• Offer mental health resources
• Provide clothing and supply vouchers
• And offer different learning outlets through the arts
Blueprints for Youth will help teenage boys stop the cycle and allow them to start
writing their own story.
The videos of kids picking up money and doing silly things was orchestrated by my
cousins who I’ve known for years that enjoy acting. The interviews with friends, and
co-workers was to give you a glimpse into what lives in the ghetto really are like.
Instead of being ashamed of my past and wrong doings I’ve learned to embrace it and
help others achieve their entrepreneurial goals. Alongside Blueprints for Youth I will
also be launching a series of other businesses that employ felons and are run by men
who beat the system.
If you would like to donate to Blueprints for Youth, volunteer or need/ know someone
that needs to break the cycle like and comment on the video. Making the westside of
Columbus better starts with bettering the kids and giving them the resources and role
models to look up too.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO REACH OUT AND EVERYONE WHO STATED
LOYAL TO ME AND TO THOSE WHO TURN THERE BACK ON ME OR SHOWED
THERE TURE COLORS. LIKE MY PASTOR SAYS. EVEN IF YOU DO AGREE WITH
YOUR NEIGHBOR YOU MUST WORK WITH THEM TOGETHER TO MAKE A CHANGE.
