October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this one hits a little differently for me. 💗

In January 2023, a routine mammogram changed my story.

I was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) and invasive carcinoma. I had a lumpectomy, followed by radiation, and by July 2023, I was clear.

I share that not because I want to dwell on the scary part—but because I want to remind you of something really important:

I had no idea anything was wrong.

No lump. No big warning sign. Just a routine screening that caught something I couldn't see or feel.

So if you're due for your mammogram, please make the appointment. If you've been putting it off, schedule it. If you have a friend who needs the nudge, be the nudge. 💕

I am incredibly grateful that I went.

Three years later, I'm still here. Still laughing. Still growing. Still making plans. Still being me. And very, very grateful for the technology, doctors, treatments, and routine screening that helped get me here.

Please get your mammogram. Early detection matters. 🎀

Okay, apparently this is what happens when you let AI turn your personality into a caricature. 😂

Coffee? ✔️
Books? ✔️
Craft supplies? Obviously.
A cat supervising the whole operation? Naturally. 🐈
A little creative chaos? Absolutely.
And Still Growing? Always. 🌱

I actually love how this captures what I’m trying to build with Still Growing Studio — a place for creativity, connection, curiosity, and giving ourselves permission to make something without worrying about making it perfect.

I’m still figuring out the systems, the rhythm, and exactly what this next chapter looks like. But I’m learning that maybe still growing is the whole point. 💚

So here’s to curious, steady, creative growth… one project, one idea, and probably one cup of coffee at a time. ☕✨

🍂 **Back to Still Growing Studio… with a little caramel for fall.** 🍂

I’ve been a little quiet around here lately. Not because I’ve stopped creating or dreaming about Still Growing Studio — life has just been *busy*. And if I’m being honest, I’ve been trying to figure out how to make room for all the things I love without creating another thing that feels like a chore.

So I’m giving myself a little grace and doing some figuring out.

I’m working on systems that can help with the **busy-ness** of it all. Ways to make the studio easier to manage, easier to show up for, and — most importantly — sustainable. Because I don’t want Still Growing Studio to be another place where I feel like I have to keep up.

I want it to be a **space, place, and creative nudge** for me *and* for you. A place to make things, try things, connect, laugh, and maybe make a little mess along the way. 😉

And since we’re talking about making changes…

🍁 **Fall = caramel.** 🍁

Apparently I decided that if I was going to embrace a new season, my hair needed to participate too. 😂

So here we are — a little caramel, a little regrouping, a little figuring-it-out, and hopefully a lot more creating.

Still growing. Still learning. Still showing up.

And I have a feeling this next chapter is going to be a good one. 🤎
