Someone actually does research on Halloween sa**sm, the myth that people sadistically hand out tainted candy to injure or poison children. No verified cases. None.

Rainbow fentanyl is the latest version of this myth. It is stigmatizing because it assumes that people who use drugs are cruel, reckless, and thoughtless enough to do this to small kids. Help get the facts out there. No one is giving fentanyl away for Halloween.

Fantastic news! And a good reminder that buprenorphine and Suboxone are safe for pregnant women and do not require withdrawal (which is not as safe).

Pregnant women are more likely to die of a drug overdose than the average woman of childbearing age, but less likely to be accepted for medication-based treatment.

Licking County Health Department is taking appointments for the monkeypox vaccine for eligible people. Current eligibility is men who have s*x with men and people who get paid for s*x. If you are interested and don't live in Licking County, contact your county health department.

The Licking County Health Department (LCHD) has received a limited number of monkeypox vaccines. LCHD will be holding a 1st dose Monkeypox vaccination clinic for Licking County residents who are at the highest risk and meet the current eligibility requirements as determined by The Ohio Department of Health.
