We are going to start meeting again. Next Wednesday at 6:30. We will meet every other week for now. We are invited to attend the McArthur AA meeting at 7:30, same location, downstairs.

It turns out that it is a copyright issue to copy from the books. But outreach material is ok to share. So here is a bit from the "Just for Tonight" bookmark.

Just for tonight, I will release my loved ones to my Higher Power's care. I will free myself from trying to do the impossible--changing the actions, attitudes, or life of anyone other than myself.

Just for tonight, I will find a safe, comfortable place to lie down and close my eyes. I will remind myself I am both deserving and in need of rest. I will look forward to awakening to the new day, feeling rested and ready to follow my Higher Power's guidance.

Take care of yourself, dear reader.

This I learned in Al-Anon...that the man I married cannot be the source of my happiness or sorrow. The gift of life is personally mine, to enjoy or destroy.
I see him angry. Must I be? He is hostile. Must I be? Am I being faithless to my marriage vows when I achieve a bit of self-confidence while he continues to suffer the pains of self- doubt?
Adjusting myself to things as they are, and being able to love without trying to interfere with or control anyone else, that is what I search for and can find in Al-Anon.

We welcome you to the McArthur Al-Anon Family Group and hope you will find in this fellowship the help and friendship we have been privileged to enjoy.

Al-Anon is a fellowship of people who have been affected by alcoholism or addiction in a family member or friend. Through sharing and using the tools of the program, we grow in serenity little by little, one day at a time.

Meetings are first and third Wednesdays at 6:30 pm at the Presbyterian Church, corner of High and Boundary Street in McArthur, Ohio.

Come to the front door.

We have just started meeting again after the shutdown. We are wearing masks and sitting 6 feet apart.
