Future Leaders Academy is a verified 501(c)(3) nonprofit and Google for Nonprofits partner delivering AI literacy, leadership development, and character education for K–6 students nationwide. We partner with schools, after-school programs, and community organizations to help every child build confidence, empathy, and future-ready skills. Our mission is to prepare the next generation of ethical, AI-literate leaders who will shape a better world.

A new Gallup report stopped us in our tracks.

Only 20% of Americans believe schools are doing a good or excellent job preparing students to think critically and solve problems.

Think about that for a second.

Because someday, the children we're raising won't always have a teacher standing beside them.

They won't always have a parent there to tell them what decision to make.

And the answer won't always be obvious.

They'll have to think. Question. Communicate. Make decisions. Take responsibility. Learn from mistakes. And keep going.

That's a big part of why we built Leader-Acy the way we did.

📖 READ something meaningful.
💭 RELATE it to your own life.
🌱 REINFORCE it through conversation, reflection, challenges, and action.

We don't just want to tell a child to "be responsible."

We want them to think about what responsibility looks like when they've made a mistake.

We don't just want to tell them to "be a leader."

We want them practicing communication, empathy, courage, problem solving, curiosity, and character.

And we don't believe schools should have to carry that responsibility alone.

Neither should parents.

That's why we created ways for children, parents, educators, facilitators, and communities to connect around the same development.

Maybe closing some of the gaps in education doesn't start with asking our teachers to do more.

Maybe it starts with all of us doing a better job of surrounding the child.

That's the gap we're trying to help bridge.

Because our children won't just need to know the right answers.

They'll need the confidence, character, and critical-thinking skills to figure out what to do when the answer isn't obvious.

Learn it. Live it. Lead it.

Community impact isn't just something you talk about. It's something you show through action.

Today, we're grateful to recognize Walmart Store #881 as a Champion of Future Leaders.

Their support of Future Leaders Academy has gone well beyond simply providing funding.

Through their grant support, we now have additional resources that can be put directly toward creating opportunities for children in our community to experience Leader-Acy.

And when Future Leaders Academy had the opportunity to participate in a community event last weekend, they supported us there too.
That matters.

Because real community partnership isn't always about writing the biggest check. Sometimes it's opening a door. Sometimes it's providing resources. Sometimes it's making a connection. And sometimes it's simply showing up and supporting organizations that are trying to do meaningful work in the community.

Walmart Store #881 has done that for us.

We're also finally getting some of our Champion of Future Leaders certificates into the hands of the people and organizations who have helped us along the way.

These aren't participation certificates.

They're our way of saying:
We see you. We appreciate you. And you have a piece in what we're building.
Because none of this happens in isolation.

Every organization that supports the work. Every person who makes an introduction. Every business that provides resources. Every partner who opens a door. They help create another opportunity for us to reach a child.

That's what community impact looks like.

Columbia, we’re set up and ready for you! 💙🧡

Future Leaders Academy is out in the community today, and we’ve got something special waiting for the kids.

Come meet us, learn a little more about Leader-Acy, see what we’re building for future leaders, and let the kids have some fun with us while you’re here.

This is what it’s about for us. Getting outside of the screen, meeting families, connecting with our community, and putting this work directly in front of the people we built it for.

Looks like South Carolina weather has decided to cooperate with us after all! ☀️
We’ve been watching the forecast closely because we want everyone to have a great experience, and Community United is moving forward this Saturday!
Future Leaders Academy is excited to join Tiny Hearts of America, Power in Positivity, local organizations, vendors, families, and community partners for an afternoon built around bringing people together.

This is a FREE FAMILY EVENT, with live entertainment and youth performances, the Tiny Tummies food program launch, kids activities and arts & crafts, bounce houses, STEM activities, community resources, giveaways, local vendors, food vendors, volunteer opportunities, and more.

And of course, Future Leaders Academy will be there. 💙🧡
We’ve got something special planned for the kids, and we’re excited to introduce more families in our own community to what we’re building through Leader-Acy.
