Who does GEAR UP SC serve?
We support both cohort students (currently 7th–8th grade, followed through graduation) and priority students (current 12th graders) across participating districts.
Our mission is long-term support—walking with students from middle school to postsecondary success.

What is GEAR UP SC? 🎓
GEAR UP SC is a federally funded program designed to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education.
We partner with schools across South Carolina to support students, families, teachers, and communities—starting early and staying with students through high school and beyond.
Because college and career readiness should be within reach for every student.
