One of everyone’s favorite Fourth Saturday attractions is back!

Stop by outside Griddles Malt Shoppe (315 Locust Street) between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM and watch a talented balloon artist transform balloons into fun creations. From animals and princesses to superheroes and hats, you never know what amazing masterpiece will take shape next!

Bring the kids, snap a photo, and take home a colorful balloon creation that’s sure to make them smile.

Riverfest weekend is BACK and BIGGER than ever! 🔥

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, Riverfest 2026 will feature expanded heritage programming, outdoor recreation, boat tours, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and MORE. This year’s event will culminate with a rare and unforgettable sight: the dramatic illumination of all 26 historic bridge piers across the river on Sunday evening, which has only been attempted once before in the past century! During this can’t-miss finale, the Veterans Memorial Bridge between Columbia and Wrightsville will close to vehicle traffic and open exclusively to pedestrians, giving you a chance to walk directly above the fiery line of bridge piers.

Thank you to the Wright’s Ferry Mansion Louise Steinman von Hess Foundation for funding the bridge burning lighting in memory of Louise McClure Tinsley Steinman von Hess.

🌧️ Weather Update 🌧️

Unfortunately, due to rain in the forecast, we need to cancel our Columbia’s Fourth Saturday Earth Day: Touch‑A‑Truck event on April 25 from 2–4 PM. Rain and trash truck inspections don’t mix, and safety is our top priority.

Thank you so much for your flexibility and support. We’re looking forward to rescheduling this event for a better day!
