Enditnow North America

Enditnow North America The Seventh-day Adventist Church recognizes that abuse affects children, women, and men within the church and community.

An initiative of the Seventh-day Adventist Church dedicated to raising awareness and equipping individuals and communities to prevent and respond to abuse in all its forms through education, resources, and faith-based advocacy. In response, the North American Division and Adventist Risk Management created the campaign to be launched in your church and community to help break the cycle

of abuse. You can launch this campaign on Emphasis Day, which is the last Sabbath in August, or on any other Sabbath that works for your church. By launching an campaign, you can help raise awareness of this important issue. You can also turn your church into a safe place for victims. Abuse is often viewed as a private issue, but its effects are felt throughout families, friendships, and faith communities.

That is why churches have an important role to play.

By creating safe spaces, increasing awareness, and responding with compassion, church members can help build communities where people feel supported and protected. 🫂❤️‍🩹

God's call is clear: defend, uphold, rescue, and deliver.

As followers of Christ, we are called to stand with those who are vulnerable and create communities where people feel safe, supported, and protected.

Advocacy is not separate from faith. It is an expression of it. 🫂❤️‍🩹

Listening is an important first step, but meaningful support does not end there.

Churches can make a real difference by responding with compassion, practical care, and a willingness to connect people with the help they need.

Awareness should lead to action. 🫂❤️‍🩹

Manipulation is often mistaken for love.

It can sound subtle, feel familiar, and still cause harm.

Over time, it can create confusion, self-doubt, and pressure that should not exist in a healthy relationship.

As a community, we are called to recognize these patterns and respond with truth and compassion. 🫂❤️‍🩹

Sometimes the most powerful message is also the simplest: You are not alone, and help is available.

The Start Here poster provides clear, accessible information for victims of abuse—in both English and Spanish. Display it in your church to connect people with the support they need.

One Sabbath can make a lasting difference. ❤️

An enditnow Emphasis Day is about creating a church culture of safety, compassion, and hope.

When churches choose to have these conversations, they send a powerful message: "You are safe here. We care. We are ready to help."

Hosting an Emphasis Day helps your church:
✔️ Raise awareness
✔️ Equip members with practical knowledge
✔️ Support those who may be suffering in silence
✔️ Reflect Christ's love through compassion and care

The conversations we begin today could change someone's tomorrow.

Awareness is one of the most important parts of advocacy. When church members understand the realities of abuse, they are better equipped to recognize concerns, respond wisely, and help create safer communities. Learning matters because people matter. 🫂❤️‍🩹

Creating safer churches starts with awareness and compassionate action. Many people experiencing abuse remain silent because they fear how others may respond. That is why our words, attitudes, and actions matter. As church members and advocates, we can help create communities where people feel safe to speak, supported when they do, and connected to the help they need. 🫂❤️‍🩹
