We are excited to announce the selection of the 2026-2027 National Venturing Officers' Association Vice Presidents. Each of these Venturers will serve alongside the NVOA President in leading our National VOA starting June 1st, 2026. Today we are happy to announce that Lucia Guastaferro will serve as the National VOA Vice President of Program.

Lucia Guastaferro is from Greenville, South Carolina, and is proud to serve as the National Venturing Vice President of Program for 2026–2027. An Eagle Scout in the Blue Ridge Council, and Vigil Honor member of Atta Kulla Kulla Lodge, Lucia previously served as the CST 15 Council Support President for the 2025 -2026 term. She is also a recipient of both the Territory and Council Venturing Leadership Awards.
Outside of Scouting, Lucia is a nursing major at the University of South Carolina. Through her experiences in Venturing and Scouting, she has developed a passion for leadership, service, and creating meaningful opportunities for young people to grow.
During her term, Lucia is excited to serve Venturers across the country, connect with fellow youth leaders, and contribute to the continued growth of the Venturing program.

There will be no Venturing Program webinar this month as we ramp up for the National Jamboree! Our program webinars are usually held the third Wednesday of each month 7:30 CT. Although for now we will look forward to seeing you at the Summit Bechtel Reserve if you are able to make it!

Congratulations to Mikey Boback from the Greater Colorado Council on being selected as the next CST 5 Venturing President for 2026-2027.

Mikey is an Eagle Scout who has dedicated his Scouting journey to serving youth at the council, territory, section, and national levels. He previously served as the Greater Colorado Council Venturing President and Sea Scout Boatswain, where he championed youth-led programming and leadership development. Over the past year, he served on the National Sea Scout Quarterdeck as the Council Service Territory Support Lead, supporting councils and youth leaders across the western United States and Pacific region while advancing communication, program growth, and collaboration. He also served as the Order of the Arrow Section G12S Chief and as a National Leadership Seminar trainer, and he currently serves as the Trail Program Lead for Operation Arrow | Summit Circle.

Passionate about servant leadership and helping others reach their full potential, Mikey is excited to serve as CST 5 President. He looks forward to working alongside Venturers across the territory to strengthen the program, empower youth leaders, and create meaningful opportunities for adventure, service, and leadership.

These awards can be a great way to plan an outing, find an area for growth, or recognize achievements that your crew is already doing!
