If you witness harassment, don’t underestimate the power of a safe intervention. Speak up, distract, support the person affected, or report the incident when necessary. You don’t have to confront the situation alone, you just have to choose not to be silent.

Let’s create communities where everyone feels safe, respected, and protected. Be aware. Be courageous. Be an active bystander.

The impact of s*xual abuse does not always end when the abuse stops.

For many survivors, the experience can continue to affect their mental wellbeing, relationships, education, confidence, and hopes for the future. Some may withdraw, struggle to trust others, or carry emotional pain they find difficult to express.
And sometimes, the greatest burden is silence.

Survivors may remain silent because they fear being blamed, judged, disbelieved, or rejected. That is why our response matters.

We must build communities where survivors can speak without fear, where their concerns are taken seriously, and where they can access the support they need, without ever being blamed for someone else's actions.

Healing takes time, but compassionate families, friends, counselors, and communities can make a meaningful difference.

Listen without judgment. Support without blame. Protect without silence.
Together, we can help survivors rebuild their confidence, pursue their dreams, and reclaim their future.

Every allegation deserves a fair investigation.

When someone comes forward to report abuse, harassment, or exploitation, they deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Their concerns should never be dismissed or ignored. At the same time, fairness requires that every allegation is investigated carefully and impartially before conclusions are reached.

Supporting someone who reports abuse does not mean assuming guilt or innocence. It means ensuring they have access to safe reporting channels, protection from retaliation, and a process that takes their concerns seriously. A fair investigation allows evidence to be gathered, all parties to be heard, and decisions to be based on facts, not assumptions or public opinion.

Justice is neither silence nor rushing to judgment. It is built on compassion, accountability, and due process. When we believe reports deserve to be taken seriously and investigations are conducted fairly, we create safer communities where truth, dignity, and justice prevail.

The digital world should be a place of connection, learning, and opportunity, not fear or abuse.

Sexual abuse doesn’t only happen offline. It also occurs online through harmful behaviors such as:
• Sending explicit photos without consent.
• Making s*xual threats or engaging in s*xual harassment.
• Cyberstalking and persistent online intimidation.
• Sharing or threatening to share intimate images without permission.

These actions violate a person’s privacy, dignity, and safety, and can have long-lasting emotional and psychological effects.

We all have a role to play in creating a safer digital space. Respect boundaries, seek consent, protect people’s privacy, and speak out against online abuse whenever you see it.

Technology should empower people, not traumatize them.

Sexual abuse does not discriminate. It affects girls and boys, women and men, regardless of age, background, or social status. Yet, many male survivors remain invisible because of harmful stereotypes that tell them they should be strong, stay silent, or feel ashamed. These misconceptions prevent countless survivors from speaking up, seeking help, and beginning their healing journey.

The truth is that boys can be victims too. Their pain is real. Their experiences matter. Their voices deserve to be heard without judgment, disbelief, or stigma.

Every survivor deserves compassion, dignity, protection, and access to justice. No one should have to carry the burden of abuse alone or in silence. By creating safe spaces, believing survivors, and encouraging open conversations, we can help break the cycle of silence and ensure that every victim receives the support they need to heal.

Let us challenge the myths, stand against all forms of s*xual abuse, and build a society where every survivor is believed, protected, and empowered to reclaim their life.

These are not opportunities, hey are abuses of power.

Sexual exploitation happens when someone uses their position of authority, influence, or control to pressure, manipulate, or coerce another person into unwanted s*xual acts. Whether in a classroom, workplace, place of worship, or home, it is a violation of human dignity, trust, and fundamental rights.

No one should ever have to trade their education, career, faith, or housing for s*xual favors. Power should be used to protect and empower others,not to exploit them. Consent obtained through fear, pressure, or unequal power is not genuine consent.

When society questions survivors instead of holding offenders accountable, it creates an environment where perpetrators feel emboldened to continue their actions. We all have a role to play in changing this narrative. Sexual harassment is not flirting. It is not kindness. It is not a compliment. And it is never just a joke.

Sexual harassment is any unwanted s*xual comment, gesture, touch, request, message, or behavior that makes another person feel uncomfortable, intimidated, humiliated, threatened, or unsafe. It can happen anywhere, at school, in the workplace, in the market, on public transport, in places of worship, at social gatherings, or online.

Many people remain silent because they are afraid of being judged, blamed, ignored, or not believed. Others dismiss harmful behavior by saying, It was only a joke, or That's just how people behave. But unwanted attention is never harmless when it violates someone's dignity, boundaries, or sense of safety.

Respect begins with understanding that consent and personal boundaries matter. A smile, friendly conversation, or the way someone dresses is never an invitation for harassment. Every person has the right to feel safe and respected regardless of their age, gender, occupation, or background.

Creating a safer Cameroon starts with each of us. Speak respectfully. Listen when someone says "no." Challenge inappropriate behavior when you witness it. Support survivors with empathy instead of judgment, and encourage a culture where everyone can learn, work, travel, worship, and live without fear of harassment.

Together, we can build communities where respect is the standard, dignity is protected, and every person feels safe to thrive.
