🐾 Happy World Spay Day – Prevention Saves Lives 🐾
On World Spay Day, we’re reminded that pet overpopulation continues to impact our region, especially rural areas without shelters or local resources. Where you live or what you earn should never determine whether your pet receives care. Access to affordable spay and neuter services isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity.
Here’s how we’re making a difference:
✔️ Remove financial barriers. We understand that veterinary care is expensive, and rightfully so. The cost of medications, medical supplies, staffing, equipment, and operating a business continues to rise each year. At the same time, the need for affordable veterinary care continues to grow. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we rely on grants, donations, and community support to bridge that gap. Our Spay It Forward Fund allows us to sustainably provide low-cost surgeries to families who need assistance most…because cost should never be the reason a pet goes without care. 🩷
✔️ No geographic restrictions. Counties with or without shelters or resources can use our clinic. If you can make it to Columbia, TN, we will help you. This is because we are not limited by taxpayer or government funding requirements.
✔️ Flexible scheduling. We offer morning and afternoon appointments plus weekend availability.
✔️ Community partnerships. We work alongside organizations like Giles County Humane Association, Friends of Lawrence County Animals, Hickman Humane-Society, Lucky's Cat House to expand outreach into rural communities that need the most help.
✔️ Focusing on the populations most at risk. Pit bull–type dogs and cats are the animals most commonly filling shelters. By prioritizing spay and neuter services for these populations, we can make the greatest impact on reducing overcrowding, intake, and euthanasia.
✔️ No size or temperament restrictions. Our team is experienced and skilled in working with dogs and cats of all sizes — and all personalities. We also place a strong emphasis on TNR and community cats, proudly supporting caregivers who are actively managing colonies. Preventing litters at the community level is one of the most effective ways to create long-term change.
