Senior Resources Inc. is hosting Shoeboxes for Seniors this year! Pick up a box or two from Senior Resources(2817 Millwood Ave), fill it with 5 gender neutral items, then drop it back off! Boxes will go to all Meals on Wheels clients!

Contact [email protected] if you're a group that will fill multiple boxes and need to schedule a pickup/drop-off.

It is time to start looking ahead to the holidays🎅! A lot of our Meals on Wheels clients spend the holidays alone and we want ensure they have a gift to open, so new this year we are introducing Shoeboxes for Seniors. If you are interested in providing a gift for a senior neighbor, boxes can be picked up from 2817 Millwood Ave beginning September 15. You will fill the box with 5 gender neutral items and drop it back off at our office between November 11 and December 15. The gifts will be delivered by volunteers.

What is MOWRC Young Professionals and why should you join?

We are a community outreach group focused on supporting the mission of Senior Resources Inc. By bringing together dedicated members aged 21-39, the goal is to increase the quality of life for our senior neighbors through fundraising, volunteerism, and raising awareness about the needs of the vulnerable aging population. You will make a difference in your community by actively engaging with seniors and addressing issues such as food insecurity and social isolation. Recognizing the importance of intergenerational connections and supporting vulnerable populations is key to improving the quality of life for those who need it most. By fostering meaningful interactions and collaborations between different age groups, we can create a supportive community that benefits everyone involved.

Meals on Wheels Richland County Young Professionals is a new community outreach program we started this year. It is made up of a group of dedicated members aged 21-39 committed to improving the lives of our senior neighbors while making connections with their peers in our community.
