Rhyan is the daughter of Brad & Jen Loos, she has an older brother Brady who is 9 and a younger sister Charli who is 4. Her family has lived in Columbia for 3 years now where her dad is the former assistant men's basketball coach for the MU Tigers and currently works in the Mizzou Athletic Department with the Tiger Scholarship Fund. here her dad was the assistant men's basketball coach for the UCM Mules. They have so many wonderful friends and family all over the country who love and support them. We hope that this page can keep everyone updated on Rhyan--a way for "US" to all to show our love and support to the entire family of Rhyan---an information site for Fundraisers--and hopefully a place where people who have been in this situation can reach out to Jen & Brad. How we got here...
Rhyan started kindergarten middle of August. She has always been a very social, outgoing little girl. So starting kindergarten was not an obstacle her parents were worried about. She did wonderful the first week and a half, not one tear. Then all of a sudden she started clinging to her mom. Crying in the morning, not wanting to go to school. Everyhting about leaving her mom and going to school was a struggle. Around this time, her parents noticed her walking a little funny, a little limp. They watched it and brushed it off to growing pains or a stretched ligament or something. She never complained of it hurting. During this time, Rhyans outgoing energetic personality started disappearing. She would return from school often with a headache, tired and overall in a horrible mood. Her limp finally intensified enough that her parents took her to her pediatrician on Oct. 12. The next day she was referred to a pediatric arthritis specials and was admitted. After further tests and a very long few days, her parents were given the news that she has an aggressive form of Stage 4 cancer. She was clear of cancer for 6 months when she out of the blue relapsed in the brain on Thanksgiving Day, 2016. Rhyan has continually fought since day 1. We are happy to say that she is currently cancer free and we pray everyday that she will remain that way for the rest of her long life. Jen & Brad lead a life of strong faith, they believe in the power of prayer. We ask that you please lift their sweet Rhyan and family in your daily prayers. Show your support, share Rhyan's journey with your friends and family, get anyone and everyone you can to PRAY for Rhyan---let's in support, love, and especially prayer. Many different fundraisers are being set up, more information will be coming, but for now there is a GoFund Me page set-up for Rhyan if you are interested and can support the Loos family. Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Rally for Rhyan account can do so at any of the 16 Central Bank of Boone County locations. Individuals can bring a check or cash into any of these locations and simply tell the teller that you would like the funds to go into the Rally for Rhyan account.
