Buckle up, Ags! We have an A&M Club Spotlight for ya! 🚗🗺️👍
Just outside the quiet little town of Aiken, South Carolina, the Warm Hymn echoed through the longleaf pines and magnolia trees as the Texas A&M Eventing Team sawed varsity’s horns off. Nine students, seven horses, and a collection of family and team supporters made the two-day haul from College Station, Texas, to Stable View Equestrian Center for the 2026 United States Eventing Association (USEA) Intercollegiate & Interscholastic Eventing Championships. From the time of their arrival on Thursday, May 14, to their departure Sunday, May 17, the Aggies did what Aggies do best: prove to their respective peers “there’s a Spirit can ne’er be told.”
The weekend wasn’t only about competition.
Thursday night, before the start of competition, the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) Texas A&M Club rallied behind their traveling Aggies and hosted the whole team and representatives from the USEA for a “Championship Cookout” Aggie owned and operated Car Cave USA. No strangers to hospitality, owner Allan Swindle ’82, wife Arlene, and son Chris, have been hosting the CSRA Aggie Muster since 2023 at their shop and showroom. Several members of the local club also ventured out to Stable View over the weekend to take in the sport and cheer on their Aggies.
“Aggies always have the best time at Champs,” remarked senior Architecture major Sarah Talcott ‘26. “This year was extra special though, because we got to see the Aggie community come together a thousand miles away from Aggieland. Getting to connect with Aggies who have moved away from College Station is really something special. It proves that even when you’re not in Aggieland, you can always find your Aggie family.”
