I owe an enormous debt of gratitude to Montelongo’s Fine Jewelry, their talented jewelers, and their staff for pulling off an enormous last minute miracle for us! We ordered these beautiful suncatchers personalized for each child on our legacy muster roll to be displayed in Aggie Park as part of our Remembrance Display. When the order arrived from an online vendor they were sadly not well made to the quality deserving of those being honored. Many of the links holding them together were coming apart and they were falling from the display tree which was honestly disastrous.
Montelongo’s was a true hero 🤩and their staff stepped in and worked around the clock to repair these dreamcatchers for our Remembrance Display. I unfortunately didn’t get any photos from them in the park on the actual day (but if anyone has any please share with me so I can update this post) hanging from a beautiful natural tree that was growing in the park.
The Vision for this Remembrance Display was that Every Child remembered was a ray of light. In their time with us, that light touched everyone who crossed their path: parents, siblings, friends, nurses, teachers, strangers and so many others who were changed simply by knowing them.
Each crystal suncatcher carries one child's name, engraved in gold. When light passes through a crystal, it doesn't stay in one place. It breaks into countless rainbows and scatters across everything around it. That is what these children continue to do. Their light lives on in our memories and in the lives they touched, and it keeps multiplying, reaching people they never had the chance to meet.
As long as we Say Their Names and Remember Them, their light keeps shining, touching our lives and the lives of others, forever.
