Thank you Texas A&M Baseball, Ben Royo, and the Earleys for making today so special for our Lil Warrior Karter and his family! He is such a strong, brave, kind boy! Karter had been given tickets to attend tonight’s game but since he just had chemo yesterday, it wasn’t safe for him to attend such a crowded event so the Earleys and Ben Royo made it possible for Karter to get a private meeting today and Karter’s favorite part was a gift of a baseball signed by the whole Aggie Baseball Team!

We don’t have words that are nearly good enough, but we’re going to try. 🥰🥹

Smarty Sprouts heard that some of our youngest Adam’s Army Foundation Lil Warriors who are immunocompromised had good enough counts that a rare, doctor-approved window was given to get out of the house under very protected circumstances. Without hesitation, they closed their doors to the public and opened them just for our kids at no cost 😱!! (Unfortunately not all the littles were able to make it but what a truly special time for those who did!)

These are children and siblings who haven’t left home except for hospital visits in weeks to even months. And speaking of these siblings, they are often the forgotten heroes 🦸🦸‍♀️ of the childhood cancer battle that have quietly given up so much, again and again, sacrificing for the love of their siblings and for the good of their families, and finally they got a morning out that was for them too! 🤩

For just a brief time, nobody was a patient. Nobody was a caregiver. The morning was about making new friends, lots of laughter, running free, and being kids again. 🙌

That is a memory they won’t soon forget. Neither will we. 💛🥰

Thank you, Smarty Sprouts, for thinking about our children and saying yes! That kind of generosity doesn’t come from policy. It comes from the heart. ♥️

And then when they couldn’t have been any kinder to us, on the way out they offered everyone a snack and a drink which was gratefully accepted and to the nearest picnic area we went and enjoyed more of the magical beautiful morning together!! 💛🎗️🌟. Happy Mother’s Day to every Mother out there today! ♥️ And also so much love and appreciation to all the Mother Figures, Foster Mothers, God Mothers, Bereaved Mothers, those missing their mothers, those who grieve not having a strong mother figure in their life, those who grieve because they long to become a mother, and anyone to whom this day brings pain instead of joy, we see you 💙. And to all the Warrior Moms 💛💪 wherever you may be in the journey with your child’s cancer battle, we salute your courage, your strength, the way you keep going day after day even when your body is past its max exhaustion point, and your eyes won’t dry and your heart hurts. We love you, we see you, you are more than enough and you are totally kicking butt even if your family or friends don’t always recognize it, we do! Keep going, you matter so much!! 💖💐👏🤩💛🎗️
