June 6 is National Naloxone Awareness Day.
A day created to reduce stigma around carrying naloxone—and to remind people that being prepared can change outcomes in seconds.
In this video, a K9 handler shares something simple but powerful: he carries two doses of Narcan—one for himself, and one for his dog. Because exposure doesn’t only happen to people. Working dogs can be at risk too, especially around substances like fentanyl.
This day is observed on June 6 in honor of Victoria Siegel, and the moment that continues to drive awareness and prevention efforts forward nationwide.
Preparedness isn’t fear. It’s responsibility.
