More furniture than we can possibly put together alone! The new Colfax-Mingo Childcare Center is opening on June 15th, and now we need YOUR help putting the finishing touches on it!

We’re looking for volunteers to help assemble furniture during the on June 8th and 9th.

Can you:
✅ Read directions?
✅ Ignore directions and still somehow make it work?
✅ Operate a screwdriver without injury?

Then YOU are qualified. 😄

We have tables, shelves, chairs, and more that need assembled so we can get our new childcare center ready for kids and families!

Whether you can help for a couple hours or a couple days, we’d love to have you join us.

If you haven't been by this week, the building is really taking shape. The lettering on the entrance really looks fantastic! We are 10 days from opening.

Huge thank you to CW Fence & Gate for the work on our fence around the playground and the east side of the Colfax-Mingo Childcare Center. They donated this fencing and installation. It's almost finished up and looks great - plus it keeps our kiddos safe! Donors and companies like them have helped make this project a reality.

Our friends at Play-Pro Recreation knocked this out of the park. The playground looks fantastic. It is not open for public usage as this is for our childcare center children. Looking forward to seeing little ones out there on June 15!

And since some fans think we don’t have a big enough space for all the kids….this is for our littlest ones to play and crawl on (infant-2). We also have the green space and the preschool playground on the elementary site that the older kids will use. School age will have access to the elementary playground. No need to build more playground when there is already one there….

We are just under a week from completion on the inside of the building and outside work is coming along now. Flooring is complete, kitchen install is finished up. On top of that, the playground is going in and will be finished up early next week. It's really starting to come together! Dean Snyder Construction and ATURA architecture have been great partners in this journey!

South side of the building flooring is now completed. This shows the newborn and transition rooms. North side rooms, office and hallway should be finished up by the end of the week. We are down to the finishing touches on interior construction. Getting closer everyday!

More progress as flooring is going in and fixtures in restrooms are being installed. So exciting watching this come together. Next week work begins on the new playground!
