Great progress on the building as the bell was installed and flooring has begun. We will be complete with construction by the 29th and then two solid weeks of prep to get the doors open on the 15th.

It’s starting to feel real.

In just just over a month, the Colfax-Mingo Childcare Center will open its doors to local children and families. Before we open in June, we need your help filling our classrooms with the supplies, toys, books, and furniture that will turn this building into a safe, nurturing place for little learners.

We’ve created an Amazon Wish List, and every donation, big or small, helps create a brighter future for the children in our community.

For center specific information (and day-to-day operations), be sure to follow Colfax-Mingo Childcare Center on Facebook. CEDCO page will still post construction progress, grand opening information and fundraising. Once this project is complete, CEDCO will transition to community development and housing development.

Be on the lookout - we are getting ready to start posting positions to hire at the childcare center. We open on the center on June 1. If you are interested or know others that want to work in the childcare business, let them know. We will officially open for in early April.

A big thank you to the Vermeer Charitable Foundation for their generous $25,000 donation to our childcare center.

Their support is helping create brighter opportunities for our youngest learners and stronger support for local families. We are truly grateful for the investment in our community.
