Update: In an effort to spare all of you from having to see it any longer and to stop wasting time that should be spent on the animals the rescue has now blocked the offending parties. This has been done due to their lack of speaking from a place of facts and choosing assumptions and accusations instead.
Let's all wash away the negativity and move along to what is important saving more animals! š©µš¾š¦“
Firstly, to the sweet dog who, through accidentally wandering up to the wrong house, ignited this stormā¦ We may never know what happened to you and for that I will be eternally sorry. Iāve named you Charlie in my mind and I will remember you forever. You will be talked about, you will be remembered, and something will be done in your honor.
Itās been a long and trying few days. However, at the Rescue the focus has been, and will remain, on dogs like Chaka. Their physical, mental, and emotional well-being are where the rescueās energy, time, and resources will be spent.
These precious resources will not be wasted on getting in the mud with those who choose to not hold the animals welfare in the highest regard.
These are conversations that shouldnāt have to be had and yet here we are, again.
For clarity - the Rescue does not use fake names or made up social media accounts. If the Rescue has something to say, it is said here. Full transparency and full ownership. Accusations and assumptions are just that - they arenāt facts and therefore will not be entertained.
Of course, the human emotion side screams to defend, to explain, to go through each point like itās a line item in an expense report. But to keep in line with the values of the rescue that is put away. Instead honesty, integrity, and keeping the best interest of the animals at the forefront is where we will remain.
To those of you who support these precious babies as always, thank you.
To those who feel the need to try to drag down an animal welfare organization in an attempt to justify their behaviorā¦that says a lot more about you than it does about the Rescue. Many animal lovers have started following the page due to this incident. And that means more eyes on these precious babies who are looking for their Forever Homes. So in the end the animals win and that is all CCC cares about. Wishing you the life you deserve.
