We are considering the possibility of hosting a second picnic this year (possibly in CT) so that our NY/CT/Western MA members and followers might more easily attend. Our annual Stratham Hill Park picnic in NH would still be held because it has become popular over the years, and the venue is excellent. We need to hear from followers if they would be interested in attending along with their collie(s) and if there would be volunteers willing to assist with set up, clean up and other activities.

Today we are at Tractor Supply in Millbury MA from 10 to 2. Come say hello to Cheryl and her collie Jade. Willow’s foster mom Yvonne came by. Yvonne has put her nursing skills to good use with Willow’s surgery and recovery. She is the cat’s pajamas!

Members - our (printed) quarterly newsletter went out on Wednesday. We have heard from a couple of people today that their addresses were correct, but the names were not. Introducing gentle, loving Blanche ❤️🐾

Blanche is a sweet, quiet Collie with a calm and gentle spirit that makes her impossible not to love. This lovely lady rarely barks, never jumps, and brings a peaceful presence wherever she goes. It is estimated that she is about 2 years old. She was 65lbs. in November of 2025.

She is wonderfully low-maintenance and would make an excellent match for a first-time dog owner or anyone looking for a calm, affectionate best friend. While Blanche gets along well with other animals, her heart truly belongs to her people—she thrives on one-on-one companionship and simply wants to be close to the person she loves most.

Her favorite things include being brushed, enjoying short walks, and relaxing quietly by your side. Blanche is happiest in life’s simple moments and would be the perfect fit for someone searching for a loyal, easygoing companion.

✨ Grooming Needs:
Blanche is very well behaved during grooming and will do best with a professional grooming appointment about every 8 weeks. With regular brushing at home, her beautiful coat will stay healthy, soft, and mat-free with ease.

This dashing neutered boy is ready for adoption. Meet Checkers. Small issue - he doesn’t seem to know he is a senior and is still energetic. He turned 10 in mid April. He can be timid but happy and playful when comfortable. Always greets his foster wagging his tail. He is fearful of strangers. He chooses to stay in his crate when in the house although he is free to roam other parts of the house. He is great with other dogs, cats, chickens, etc. He is fearful of yelling or loud noises. He suffers from trauma of some sort. His foster mom said he will need a patient adopter to help make him feel safe. Do you think you could give this handsome guy a home where he can flourish? This handsome 3–4 year old Collie is outgoing, athletic, and full of energy. He’s a loving boy who thrives on outdoor adventures, playtime, and plenty of mental stimulation. Stanley is incredibly smart and would love a home where he can stay engaged—whether that’s learning new skills, attending training classes, or having a special “job” to do.

Stanley enjoys spending time with both people and other dogs and would do wonderfully with a family that understands the needs of an active, intelligent breed. He’s not the kind of dog who wants to be left alone in the yard—he wants to be part of the action and included in everyday life!
