C. E. Blevins Avian Learning Center

We have only recently moved the C.E.Blevins Collection to Chattanooga Audubon Society. Their director, Kyle Simpson, and his assistant Lynn Grabowski (our former Education Director) are beginning the time consuming task of setting up! The Blevins family is very excited that the collection will be available to the public and eventually tours will be offered at their amazing forest habitat.

Birds and their eggs and nests are an integral part of the complex web of life represented in forest, field, and wetland habitats. Birds rely on particular habitats and the food sources they find there. And in a fascinating way, the habits rely on birds to spread seeds and provide a balance in the food chain. Audubon Acres has a wealth of forest habitats and is amazingly convenient to get to!

C.E.Blevins had a vision that could be described simply as:
art is nature/nature is art

We are beginning the process of moving this extensive collection. We want to show our appreciation for our wonderful program director, Lynn Grabowski. Lynn has done a great job of presenting to groups; she has updated our website and our page. She has made presentations at the Tennessee Ornithological Society, the Sandhill Crane Festival, and for several groups that have visited the C.E.Blevins Avian Learning Center. Although we cannot continue our programs, we sincerely give thanks to her and wish her the best in her professional endeavors. We highly recommend her!

The C. E. Blevins Avian Learning Center is now closed, pending possible relocation. We thank all of you for your support, and will keep you updated throughout this transition.

I don't do a great deal of editing so just use iPhoto and sometimes PicMonkey. I used to edit a great deal more but found it too time consuming and I wasn't getting housework and laundry done.... :-)

I can't seem to locate the best but there are baby wrens fledging onto my deck!!
