Kern Water Collaborative (KWC) attended the Self-Help Enterprises Back-to-School Event & Mobile Clinic in McFarland, to connect families who own private domestic wells with free nitrate testing.

For eligible residents that rely on private domestic wells for their drinking water, KWC helps households outside of public water service boundaries on the Kern County Valley Floor understand their nitrate levels at no cost to residents. Through free nitrate well testing, KWC can determine if bottled water is needed. KWC provides bottled water delivery for free when nitrate levels are above the drinking water standard.

In preparation for a successful back-to-school season, our team answered questions, shared bilingual and educational materials, and gained great connections with the McFarland community.

KWC works to ensure access to safe and clean drinking water for eligible residents with private domestic wells across our service area.

Kern Water Collaborative (KWC) attended the GNC Family Clinic Community Health Fair in Delano to share essential water well resources with residents who rely on private domestic wells.

KWC provides free nitrate well testing to help eligible households understand the quality of their drinking water. If nitrate levels are above the drinking water standard, qualifying households outside of public water system boundaries receive free bottled water delivery services.

Thank you to the event organizers and community members who visited our booth and learned more about available resources.

Kern Water Collaborative (KWC) presented at the Kern County Network for Children General Collaborative Meeting in Bakersfield to share information with community leaders, school district outreach teams, and family resource centers serving Kern County families.
KWC shared resources about free domestic well nitrate testing and bottled water services available for eligible households who rely on private domestic wells.
KWC continues working to ensure access to safe and clean drinking water through community outreach, education, and bilingual resources across the Kern County Valley Floor.

Thank you to Elk Hills School District for inviting us to be part of this year’s Spring Festival and Classroom Showcase! Our team connected with community members and shared information about free nitrate well testing and bottled water delivery for homes outside of public water system boundaries. These services support the health and well-being of rural communities throughout the Kern Valley Floor.

Thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Delano for hosting the 45th Annual Easter Egg Hunt and creating a space for families to come together and connect with local resources.
