Last night, our community came together to remember, honor, and bring awareness to the lives impacted by overdose.

Around 50 people joined us for our Overdose Awareness Candlelight Vigil. We gathered not only to remember those we have lost, but to stand beside the families and friends who continue to carry their memory.

Behind every overdose statistic is a person. A son. A daughter. A parent. A sibling. A friend. Someone who was loved and whose life mattered.

Seeing the photographs surrounded by candlelight was a powerful reminder of why this work matters. We can honor those we have lost while continuing to fight stigma, increase access to support, provide harm reduction and overdose prevention resources, and remind people that recovery is possible.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared a story, lit a candle, spoke a name, or simply stood quietly beside another person. And a special thank you to those who were willing to share their voices and experiences with our community.

We remember. We honor. We keep showing up.

No one should have to face substance use, recovery, grief, or loss alone.

208 Recovery was grateful to join Silver Valley Cares for their 4th Annual Mental Health Fair in Osburn and spend the day connecting with and supporting our rural communities.

During the event, we were able to distribute approximately 50 boxes of Narcan, share overdose prevention resources, connect with community members, and spread the word about something we are incredibly excited about:
208 Recovery is coming to Shoshone County!
We are working towards our grand opening of our Shoshone Rural Recovery Community Center this September/October, expanding access to peer recovery support, recovery coaching, resources, connection, and recovery-focused services closer to home.

A huge thank you to Silver Valley Cares for bringing organizations and community members together for the 4th year to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and strengthen mental health and recovery resources throughout the Silver Valley.
We’re excited to continue building relationships and becoming part of this incredible rural community.

Recovery belongs in every community and rural Idaho deserves access, connection, and hope.

Thankful for Innovia Foundation and their generosity ❤️❤️❤️

Innovia recently presented 208 Recovery with a $15,000 check to support mental health and substance use recovery.

208 Recovery opened its doors in 2025, serving Idaho's five northern counties. The organization provides peer-led recovery support to individuals struggling with addiction, with coaching performed by staff who have been through recovery themselves and maintained 2 years of sobriety. Anyone from the community can access 208 Recovery's Care Closet, stocked with Narcan, snacks, hygiene products, and medical lockboxes.

This grant was made possible through Innovia’s 2026 Community Grants Program, funded by donors who have established flexible charitable funds to address critical needs and emerging opportunities across the Foundation's 20-county region. Find a full list of awardees at goinnovia.org/CGP-26.
