Our hearts are full as we celebrate Elliot and Peanut finding their loving forever homes!

🐱 Peanut has found herself a wonderful new caregiver who treats her feline companions like her own children! She'll be joining a senior tortie and living a life filled with love, cuddles, and plenty of spoiling. We couldn't be happier knowing this sweet girl will be so cherished!

🐈‍⬛ Elliot has officially claimed his throne! This handsome boy will be treated like a prince by two sweet girls who are ready to shower him with all the love and attention he could ever dream of. Something tells us he's going to have these girls wrapped around his little paws in no time!

Every adoption reminds us why we do what we do. Two cats, two wonderful families, and two beautiful new chapters!

At three weeks old, Clarabelle still needs help going potty. Normally, Mama Cat stimulates her kittens by licking them after nursing. With a bottle baby, that job falls to the human!

We’ve also been introducing her to the litter box and showing her how to dig. So far, she’s mostly treated it like her own personal sandbox. 😂

But tonight… SHE USED IT ALL BY HERSELF! 🎉

She has absolutely no idea why I was so excited, but I do! It’s another little sign that this smart girl is developing right on track.

Way to go, Clarabelle!

Some cats walk into a room and immediately make it feel a little warmer. Snowy is one of those cats.

Snowy has a wonderfully sweet, gentle personality and has experience living around both children and dogs, making her a great possibility for a family home. She’s still young enough to have plenty of kitten adventures ahead of her, but old enough that her affectionate personality is already beginning to shine.

Her first home may not have been forever, but that doesn’t mean her next one can’t be.

Somewhere between the darkness and the headlights, a tiny life was waiting to be saved.

She was barely three weeks old. Alone in the middle of the road, with no mama in sight and no way to protect herself from the cold or passing cars. Then someone stopped, and a phone call brought her to us.

“I didn’t know who else to call.”

Those six words have become some of the most meaningful words I hear in rescue. They're also one of the reasons I founded The Cat’s Mark. I wanted our community to have somewhere to turn when they encounter an animal in need. Somewhere a phone call could become a lifeline.

And for this little girl, that's exactly what happened. We've named her Carabelle.

Right now, her entire world is measured in three-hour increments. Warm bottles of kitten formula, gentle stimulation to help her go potty, a cozy place to sleep, and someone making sure her tiny body stays warm. At her age, she still can't regulate her own body temperature, so caring for her is a 24-hour responsibility.

But tucked into all those sleepless hours are the little moments that make rescue so rewarding.

Her baby-blue eyes are wide open, taking in a world she's only just beginning to discover. Her ears have unfolded and are standing tall, and those tiny legs are learning to carry her. Before long, she'll trade her wobbly first steps for the kind of kitten mischief that keeps us on our toes!

For now, though, we're perfectly content to let her be little. There will be plenty of time for chasing toys, climbing cat trees, and finding the family who will love her for the rest of her life.

Today, she just needs to be warm, fed, safe, and loved. And we can do that.

We hope you'll follow along as Carabelle grows. From her first confident steps to her first taste of kitten food, her first playful pounce, and eventually, the day she leaves our care for a home of her very own.

One day, this little girl who was found alone on the asphalt will be curled up somewhere soft, with a family who can't imagine life without her.

And that is the ending we're working toward. ❤️

Some rescue stories begin when an animal walks through the shelter doors. This one began before four tiny kittens ever took their first breath.

I had the privilege of caring for Doja Cat while she was pregnant, being there through her pregnancy, and watching her become a mama to four absolutely perfect kittens: Finn, Jhett, Checkers and Ember. And what a mama she was.

Doja was gentle, patient and incredibly nurturing. She cared for her babies so beautifully, and before long, four tiny kittens started becoming four very different little personalities.

Finn was our courageous explorer. The first to investigate anything new.

Ember, the only girl, was our quiet observer. Shy, reserved and content to take everything in before deciding it was safe.

Jhett made sure nobody forgot he was there. 😂 He was our talker, especially when he decided it was time to be picked up and loved.

And Checkers? He had important kitten business to attend to. There was always something to play with, climb on or turn into a toy.

I watched them open their eyes, find their feet, learn how to play, discover the world around them and grow into four wonderful little cats.

Then came the hardest and most beautiful part.

One by one, I watched each of them leave for home. Finn. Ember. Jhett. Checkers.

Four little lives I was lucky enough to know from their very beginning. Getting to help bring them safely into this world, watch them grow and then see each one become part of a family is something I will never forget. These four will always hold a very special place in my heart. ❤️

But there is still one chapter of this family's story waiting to be written. Mama Doja Cat raised her babies and watched every one of them go home. Now it's her turn.

Doja is still waiting for someone to choose her. She is beautiful, affectionate, loves people and could happily spend hours watching the birds outside. After everything she gave to her babies, we'd love nothing more than to see this wonderful mama finally have a home to call her own.

Her babies got their happily ever after.

It’s hard to believe these four are still waiting.

Finn, Jhett, Doja Cat, and Elliot haven’t received a single application yet. Each has something special to offer. From cuddly and affectionate to easygoing and sweet, and all they need is someone willing to give them a chance. Their forever families are out there somewhere; we just need to reach them. ❤️
