I should have posted this sooner.
To all who support us, to all who help us, to all who receive from us, Thank you all.
This is the most wonderful community to live in. People care about each other, even if they do not know them. The people of this community are generous and so caring it almost makes you cry.
Thank you to everyone, you make living here not just a great place to live, but a blessing everyday knowing the love and support comes from every corner of this community.

One organization that I did miss on my last post was Cody Center for the Performing Arts. For the past nine years they have done a performance benefiting Holiday Helpers. Thank you Angie for all your hard work, to you and the performers! Thank you

Good Morning,
Now that all the Christmas gifts are open, the turkey is carved (and eaten), all of you are cleaning up after the fun weekend, again, Merry Christmas to all. I want all of you that received from the Holiday Helpers to know of who helped make your Christmas possible. I have not written about this before as many do not want to be identified. But here goes (and if I miss anyone, please forgive me):

Bargain Box Outreach - Christ Episcopal Church - Thanks to them we were able to provide our basic needs for all our families. Laundry Soap, dish soap, body wash, shampoo, cream rinse, dish soap, paper towels, facial tissue and toilet paper. This was a huge expense for us and all families received.

All the donations that we received provided other things as needed, coats, blankets, pajamas, underwear, socks, hoodies, bath kits for boys and girls. None of this is small, without your help we would not be able to give what they ask for and/or what they need.
Thank you to everyone. I know my list is not complete, there are so many people, businesses and organizations that donate. You are all amazing making our work easier and successful. Thank you to everyone! Jacque

Hello to friends and family. I want to tell all of you that donated this year Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This was an amazing year. It seemed like we had a slow start, people signing up, but we helped more than 220 families, seniors and children.
Let me tell you a couple of stories of who you helped this year.
1. DFS called me to tell me about a senior citizen couple who signed up with us. They are in desperate need of food. We do not usually do food, but we know that if DFS is asking for us to help, there must really be a need. So I sent messages out to wrapping volunteer groups. I asked for non perishables, if possible. We filled five banana boxes with food. We gave out turkey dinners, this couple received one. Several people wrapping brought frozen meats. Then I gave them fuel gift cards and Cody bucks. The response I received from the woman was enough to make me cry.
Quote: "Thank you so much, you really have no idea what you have done for us. The fuel cards and Cody bucks are a gift from God. Now my husband can get to dialysis. We didn't know how we were going to get there."
2. I called a woman to tell her the bed she requested was donated. She requested if for one of here children. (she has four kids) When she arrived to pick it up, along with the Christmas gifts for her kids, she cried. So overwhelmed, she said we could not ever know how much this will help them.
3. After we distributed all our gifts, a senior gentleman called, he said he hoped we could help. All he wanted was a pillow and a pot to cook with.
We were able to give 46 bikes out this year.
Your support is amazing. You did good!!!

Families that we serve really need our help, many come in to help us wrap. You are greatly appreciated by them all. Thank you again, from us and from them.
Your donations make a real difference in so many lives.

Hello Friends,
I have some sad news. We will not be getting the building that we were buying. After paying our earnest funds and signing our contract, they found a legal issue making it not possible for them to sell the property.
What does this mean? Well, it means we are on the lookout for another piece of property, preferably one with a building of 3000 square feet or bigger.
We will continue looking and continue doing fundraising, We will get a building of our own. Just not this one.
To all who have already donated, to those who stop us individually and offer to help, to our community that supports our efforts, we Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You have been wonderful. We appreciate what you have done for us already and what you will do for us in the future. Thank you Thank you Thank you to all of you. I will try to keep you posted on our progress.
