Greg Pendley , and we’re excited to have her as part of our Rotary family.

She’s already looking forward to jumping in and helping with the Wine Raffle and the Rotary Show, and we know her enthusiasm and community spirit will be a wonderful addition to the club.

There’s always something happening at Cody Rotary.
Last week, we were glad to welcome Tanya Bartholomew with Serenity Services as our speaker. Our weekly programs are a big part of what makes Rotary special, giving members the chance to learn more about the people, organizations, and work shaping our community.

And we have plenty more ahead.

Two students. Two powerful leadership stories. One lasting impact.
Last week, Cody Rotary was proud to hear from Callie Hyland and Casper Thoma about their experiences with Young RYLA and RYLA.

Callie, an eighth grader, shared how much she enjoyed her week at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park. She met amazing people, learned how to build trust within her group, and came away with an important lesson: “When you’re a leader you shouldn’t always put yourself first.”

Casper, a senior at Cody High School, attended RYLA last year and returned this summer as a Junior Counselor. He shared that the experience truly placed him in a leadership role. It was a lot of work, very little sleep, and incredibly rewarding — and he hopes to do it again next summer.

For Casper, Rotary is also a family affair, as his mom, Jennifer Thoma, serves as VP of Cody Rotary.

We’re proud to support programs like RYLA and Young RYLA that help young people grow in confidence, connection, and leadership.

Leadership isn’t just something you learn in a classroom. Sometimes it happens when you step outside your comfort zone, meet people who understand your challenges, and discover what you’re capable of.

Cody High School senior Parker Hein recently shared his experience attending RYLA, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, and it sounds like the experience left quite an impression!

Parker learned new ways to lead and communicate, including how to lead without using his voice. Just as importantly, he discovered that many other students were navigating some of the same challenges he was, giving him the opportunity to build meaningful connections.

His review of the experience says it all: “The vibes were high!” And he “never wanted RYLA to end.” Parker is already hoping to return next year as a Junior Counselor.

Cody Rotary is proud to sponsor one student each summer for RYLA and YRYLA, helping local students develop confidence, leadership skills, and connections that can last well beyond the program. We also provide multiple scholarships to graduating seniors each year.

One of the best parts of being a Rotary Club in a destination like Cody is welcoming fellow Rotarians from across the country.
Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting Doug Motz from the Rotary Club of La Quinta, California. Doug shared stories about his club, his family, and his connection to Cody through his son, who owns a local business.

Rotary has a unique way of turning introductions into friendships and visitors into family. No matter where you travel, there's a Rotary club ready to welcome you.

Yesterday, Cody Rotary President Viola Tryon shared her vision for the year ahead, and we're excited about what's to come.

Her goals reflect what Rotary is all about: growing our impact by growing our membership, supporting the Every Rotarian, Every Year initiative through the Rotary Foundation, and embracing this year's Rotary International theme, Create Lasting Impact.

Together, we'll continue investing in our community, building meaningful connections, and creating opportunities to serve both here in Cody and around the world.

Today at the Cody Rotary Club, we enjoyed an exciting update from representatives of the City of Cody on the progress of the new Trailhead Park project.

We’re proud that Cody Rotary contributed $40,000 to help make this community asset a reality. Construction is officially underway, with the groundbreaking complete, and the project is expected to be finished by the end of October.

This park will provide a wonderful space for children and families to gather, play, and enjoy the outdoors for years to come. It’s always rewarding to see partnerships between local government, community organizations, and generous supporters turn great ideas into lasting investments in Cody.

Thank you to the City of Cody for sharing the latest progress with us—we’re looking forward to celebrating the grand opening this fall!

Investing in our community means investing in the future of Cody.

Cody Rotary is proud to present the first of two $20,000 donations to Mayor Lee Ann Reiter in support of the Trailhead Park project.

Projects like Trailhead Park create spaces where families gather, kids play, visitors explore, and our community continues to grow stronger together. We are honored to partner in helping bring this vision to life.

A heartfelt thank you to Mayor Reiter for her leadership and dedication to making Cody an even better place to live, work, and play.

Yesterday marked the close of one Rotary year and the beginning of another.
Please join us in thanking Brett Whitlock for his outstanding leadership and dedicated service as President of Cody Rotary during the 2025-2026 Rotary year. Your commitment, time, and passion have helped strengthen our club and our community. Thank you, Brett!

As we turn the page, we're excited to welcome Viola Tryon as our new President. We know her enthusiasm, heart for service, and dedication to Cody will make this an incredible year ahead.
