🚨Expedition RISE Maroon Bells Update

✨2 Glorious Days hiking for Freedom!

🏔️ While we are decompressing and reflecting on the impact and efforts this team has made against exploitation, we wanted to give you a brief update.

🩵 Thank you to everyone who donated, prayed, shared posts and cheered us on 🙌🏻. There is a place for everyone at this table and that was yours! It takes an army!

⛑️ Our teams are safe and put their boots on the ground for purpose. All FOR FREEDOM!!

🥾 Team Aspen 34 miles ⬆️ ⬇️ 6,232 ft
🥾 Team Crested Butte 28 mi, ⬆️ 5,937 ft ⬇️ 6,042 ft
💰 12,865 raised. You can still donate!

➡️ We split our groups into two teams; Team Aspen and Team Crested Butte with staggered start times. And we had the BEST team Hospitality on the planet 🎉🙌🏻 that spent the week catering to everyone’s needs and shuttling us from trailhead to trailhead.

🚨There is much more to come in stories, challenges, and victories!

🙏 The money raised from our expeditions goes to further our mission toward prevention, response, and recovery initiatives.

🏔️ Freedom Hikers from around the country are making their way to Aspen, Colorado over the next couple days preparing to acclimate to the higher elevation.

20 Freedom Fighters will be embarking on a 2️⃣ Day 2️⃣8️⃣ mile hike through the Maroon Bells and Snowmass Wilderness July 20-21! These hikers have been fundraising and educating themselves while they help bring awareness to others about the issue of human exploitation and trafficking. They have spent the last 3-4 months training and preparing and now they prepare to celebrate their efforts so others can be FREE!

💪🏻 This celebration hike will be challenging And hard. But they realize their hard is nothing compared to what others are and will go through if we don’t share with our communities the truth about how exploitation and trafficking is really happening.

❗️Most trafficking is not done by kidnapping. It’s done by someone the victim knows and trusts. Let that sink in.

🥾 We hike so others can be FREE.

🥾 We hike so prevention can become real.

🏳️ A “summit flag” is a flag carried by climbers and hikers to the peak ⛰️ of a mountain to celebrate their achievement, take photos, and commemorate the milestone.

Our expeditions milestones are about celebration!
🎉Celebrating the awareness and funds we raised, advocating for FREEDOM.
🎉 Celebrating our ability to use our Freedom to do something we love to help others be free.

🥾 It’s hiking season and we love the outdoors! We love that we can build community and fight for freedom at the same time! We are grateful for every step, every training session, every fundraising attempt, every awkward conversation about something difficult and hard.

Human exploitation is not a fun topic. It’s dark, deep, and seemingly endless. But TOGETHER 🤝 we can build relationships and empower others by doing hard things and use our Freedom to make others aware and move them into engagement toward this world crisis we face.

➡️ “Did you know that traffickers often begin with trust before coercion? Teaching young people about healthy relationships is one of the strongest forms of prevention.”

3 signs a child may be experiencing online grooming.
1️⃣ Extreme Device Secrecy: Angrily hiding screens, changing passwords constantly, or using hidden, vault-style apps
2️⃣ Sudden Financial Shifts: Receiving unexplained packages, gift cards, digital currency, or expensive clothing from an unknown online “friend.”
3️⃣ Drastic Mood Drops: Exhibiting intense anxiety, withdrawal, or crying spells, especially right after using a phone or computer
