💚 We Tried to Weather the Storm, but Mother Nature Had Other Plans! 💚

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all the amazing volunteers, sponsors, and vendors who came out and worked so hard to help us set up for the Maryland Kidney Walk. You continued working right up until the moment we had to make the difficult decision to cancel the event due to unsafe weather conditions.

While we were disappointed that we couldn’t move forward, everyone’s safety was our top priority. Your time, hard work, dedication, and willingness to help mean more than you know. We are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you and for the amazing kidney community that continues to show up, even when things don’t go as planned. 💚

🍂 Reflecting on an inspiring evening in Baltimore! 🍂

Last night, the National Kidney Foundation’s Medical Advisory Board was thrilled to host our Fall Fellows Symposium! We were honored to bring together brilliant nephrology fellows from both Johns Hopkins Medicine and University of Maryland Medical Center.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible panel of physicians representing academia, hospital medicine, and private practice. They generously shared their wisdom, personal experiences, and invaluable guidance with the next generation of kidney health leaders.

From deep dives into crucial career topics—like contract negotiation, salary insights, and achieving work-life balance—to keeping our shared passion for compassionate patient care at the center of it all, the discussions were rich and deeply impactful.

We are so grateful to everyone who attended, spoke, and helped make this event such a resounding success. The future of nephrology is bright! 🩺✨
