We enjoyed our time at our January 27th meeting! Our Program was hosted my Sheriff Daniel Cape. He held a wonderful presentation on the FLOCK camera system used through out the country and more importantly right here in Cochran! We learned the importance of these cameras in our communities to help be more proactive on crime. He was joined by Lieutenant Evelyn Johnson. She is the Director of Crime in Baldwin County. This is her 3rd year with the county and 1st year in the Director Program position. Originally from Harris County, she is a graduate from Mercer University. We appreciate both of them taking the time out of their busy schedules to come speak to us. We appreciate all that our law enforcement does day to day to help keep our community and surrounding communities safe! 💜

In October, we were extremely proud to recognize Dylan Strickland, a student of Bleckley County High School whose leadership, service, and commitment set a standard few can match. As the President and Founder of Club America, Dylan doesn’t just participate—he builds opportunities for others. His dedication continues through his work with BETA Club, where he models scholarship and service, and his role as Secretary on the Student Council, where he gives students a voice with integrity and enthusiasm.

Dylan’s influence extends beyond leadership positions. As an active member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, he demonstrates character, compassion, and strong moral grounding. His commitment to excellence is just as evident on the field as it is in the classroom. As a dedicated runner for Bleckley County High School Cross Country and Distance Track, he embodies perseverance, discipline, and heart.

His talents reach even further—Dylan is a standout Bleckley County Literary speaker, a creative contributor on the Yearbook staff, and a faithful member of First Baptist Church, where he continues to lead by example.

Dylan is the rare student who excels in every arena—academics, athletics, leadership, faith, and service. He shows up, works hard, lifts others, and represents his school and community with pride and humility.

Congratulations, Dylan. Your dedication, excellence, and character make you truly deserving of Student of the Month. 🌟
